Try a few things. For a start read the Silmirilion. Failing that put this question into the search function.

Answer: Frodo went to Valinor in the uttermost West where he then dwelled with the Valar and the Maia and all the folk of Aman. He probably met some Nolder and Teleri, and some Vanya if he was lucky. Eventaully he died and went who knows where.

Either that or he merely died.

You will feel really happy when you come back, read my last post, and feel you now understand exactly what it means.

But why did Frodo get to go? I thought that the West thingy was for the Elves only.

In Unfinished Tales, it says that Galadriel ended her lament "with a wish or prayer that Frodo may as a special grace be granted purgatorial (but not penal) sojourn in Eressea, the solitary isle in sight of Aman" and that "her prayer was granted." So, I guess this also played a part in why Frodo was allowed to go to Valinor even though he was mortal.

Goodbye! Maybe you will find Valimar!

Thats it, not so much a prayer as a wish.

He he she wouldn't give Feanor any of her hair, but she gave some to Gimli.
