Serkis and Jackson - The Hunt for Gollum

Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum to Explore Stories Peter Jackson 'Didn't Have Time to Cover' in Past Films

Andy Serkis will apparently star in and direct the movie while Peter Jackson will produce. Anyone know more about this?

Only what Serkis and Jackson have said in interviews. The movie will show efforts by Gandalf, Aragorn and others to locate Gollum after the wizard's encounter with Bilbo following his Birthday Party speech. We can speculate that Mirkwood, Gondor, Mordor and the Gladden Fields will be shown. However, there is little firm information regarding casting.
