Tolkien Events 2016
 

While aware that I'm rather late, by half a year(!), I thought that introducing this thread might be interesting.

Obviously, one of the main Tolkien related events this year is Oxonmoot 2016, again in St. Antony's College, Oxford, this time from 8th to 11th September.

I'm planning to go. Is anyone else here going, or planning to do so?:)

I'm sad to hear about that, Bêthberry, but will let you know how I get on.

I was also glad to hear that the TS Committee agreed this year's moot would also be a four day one; because it means more time for activities, including getting reacquainted with old attendees, and acquainted with new ones.:D

I am planning to come to Oxonmoot and looking forward to being with the Downer tribe!

I see from the paper booking form that there are 1 and 2 day registration rates. Will have to look into this, and see what I can afford.

I've booked, so am going to the 'moot. I hope to see many of my fellow Downers there!:)

According to the Tolkien Society, the Bodleian Library will be exhibiting the map of Middle-earth annotated by Tolkien and Pauline Baynes during the 'moot:

I will most likely be there on the Friday of Oxonmoot. Not 100% sure yet because on the 10th I have to leave to a conference, and I still might have work to do...
