speculative movie plot changes

While it seems there is at least one adult in charge of
TH movie plottting (see thread: Guillermo explains ditzy Philippa... ),
how about some musing on how they might treat some
movie bits For example, Gandalf twice has the dwarves drop
in on an unsuspecting host a few at a time. While this does
fit in with del Toro's "repetitive fairy tale theme" observation,
might it not be viewed by certain involved Hobbit movie
people not named del Toro as too
repetitive? Even if they are dissuaded from introducing the
dwarves by having G toss them in might the theme (properly?)
be only done once. If so when? I'd be inclined to use it with
Beorn since it would be a lighter touch to ease the generally
more dangerous/darker feel as Thorin & Co. progress East.

I always preferred the staggered arrival of the dwarves at the beginning when they first meet Bilbo. I loved his growing concern and sense of being put out as more and more unexpected guests arrive and begin ordering food as if his hobbit hole were an inn. The scene has always played so well in my head that I would like to see it on screen. Using the staggered arrival trick with Beorn didn't seem nearly as appealing (well, for me at least). I want to see how they will deal with Beorn's animals though. I'm guessing this is one of the things that may be cut as being too cute.
