And no, I'm not on the wrong forum.

The game itself has not come out yet, but having recently bought the Creature Creator, I have had a few attempts at making Tolkien-ish creatures.


Does anyone else know what I'm talking about?

Anyway, here is my (failed) attempt at a dragon.


What I was thinking is that if anyone wants to join me, we might be able to illustrate what we think Tolkien's creatures look like.

And if you want to mess about with mine (make it walk or do other stuff) or make your own you can just download a free (called trial, as it only contains some body parts) version of it from the Spore website. If you want to know more, you can find it on the website.

edit: It looks better like this, but still quite far from how I imagine a Tolkien dragon to look, and the tail is just wrong.

That dragon Looks Pretty good, Eonwe! I got the creature Creator not long ago. Would not believe how many dragons i make :P Did make a "Gothasuarus Mog" But it's kinda iffy. Also tried making a Movie Balrogish Critter on there, if you want I could post some of my Spore Creature Picture's if you Want! :) (Note: Their all Blue, Green and Purple!) Planning on making a Smaug one, Probably will. Kinda glad to See someone who does Spore on here too. :)

I too have the free version of the creature creator butafter a few failed attempts to make a StarCraft creature I decided to let it be. Somehow if you know what you`re doing you can design some pretty cool things. But in my case it ends up looking like a reactor meltdown.

This looks almost as much fun as making Tolkien characters on The Sims! :cool:

Note - do not make Balrogs with wings as they will be wrong :p

But i dont want to delete my winged Balrog:( I can make a Non-Winged Balrog Though:) just dont hurt my cute Winged Balrog:(

I Updated my Gothasuarus Mog. Looks better now(Even though i could not move some of the parts over to the left to make it look bubbly) I tried making a Vampire, didn't turn out to good. Smaug turned out alot better though. Might make one of the Other Dragons next.

Well it depends. If you've "shared" it then you can just link it to anything you write by clicking on the "insert link" button and linking to the page that it's on on here. Just type in it's name or your username to find it. If not then it's more complicated.

Names are probably Miss Spelled. Why are the creature's names Different? For some reason if i try to name a Critter after a Character it's like the critters get deleted:confused:
I think the Glaurong one turned out the best. if you wish to see some of my other critters my name on there is "BabidiBuu" Be warned, some are not Tolkain Related but there should be some around there somewhere with tolkain related names.(Barrow Bear might not be something from the Tolkain Books but i kinda named it after this place ^_^) http://www.spore.com
