Númenórean to Elf
 

Does anybody have the quotes where Tolkien states how closely the Númenóreans resemble the Elves in customs, etc.?

Come on Downers, nobody knows anything of this? Even the section of HoMe, Letters, UT, would help! I've looked in the indexes but I can't find what I'm looking for.

Only advice i can give is read Silmarillion on the downfall of Numenor, i don't have it on hand to give examples but i remember reading them there
