Nemi
 

Any British Metro readers will be familiar with Nemi, the antihero of a comic strip at the back. Non-Metro readers, I come to enlighten you.

Nemi is, I believe, a Norwegian cartoon, or at least set in Norway. It centres on a girl, Nemi, who is into black metal and pessimistic thinking. As Metal and Fantasy are often related, and I believe especially so in Scandinavia (I may be wrong on that account), she does sometimes mention Tolkien.

The cartoon strip is to be found here for the most recent ones. At current, none of these are Tolkien-related.

You are quite right TGWBS, at least in Denmark Fantasy and Metal is very often related. Atleast when you reach a sertain age and you might also add Rolle Playing to that list.

I am guessing it is Norwegian as the artist is named Lise Myhre and Myhre is a very common name in Norway.

We also have this cartoon in Metro and in Basserne (Beetle Baily).

I like Nemi and I am very glad that I know have a ling to it. . . Thank you TGWBS.

Just when I thought this thread would die and the creators of Nemi forget about Tolkien, they make another LotR-related comic.
