The Next ME Sports Tournament
 

I thought it over and I have finally come to a decision. Since I'm not really a fan of hockey it won't be that. My apologies to all who voted for it. Now then, after putting a bit of thought in the matter, having a look at available consoles, games, my knowledge and liking of the sport I have made a final list of sports from you to choose of.

Football - Fifa 2006 (PS2) [if you want an encore tournament]
Baseball - All-Star Baseball 2001 (N64) [Rosters won't matter, the game would make a good tourney]
Boxing - Knockout Kings 2000 (N64) [I'm not so sure about this but its your call]
American Football - Madden NFL 2002 (N64) [Odds are I'll be getting the new one for the PS2 soon, so if this is picked I'll be doing the matches on the PS2 version.]
Basketball - NBA Live 2000 (N64) [Odds are I'll be getting the new one for the PS2 soon, so if this is picked I'll be doing the matches on the PS2 version.]
Cricket - Cricket 2005 (PS2) [Well I don't really think anyone other than Saucepanman will vote for this but have at it]
Formula 1 - F1 2005 (PS2) [Added in late due to my forgetfulness]

Alright people thats the lot of it. Go ahead and make your choice and I'll do the rest. Lets hope we get some good sporting in my dear ladies and gentlemen.

A shame it did not become Hockey, that would have been fun.

Since I proberbly will not be able to contribute to this sports turnament I will not vote.

If not football againg then I think Boxing would be awesome on so many levels.

I was really excited to see Hockey, but, in the end, it's up to you.

Hmmm....It'd be cool to have an encore tournament.

But, I think I'd have to go with...

I like both football and basketball, but I think basketball is better suited to a tournament.

BOXING, I would love to see Sauron take a real beating from Helm Hammerhand, and have to retire due to a cut above The Eye

Hmm...great now I'm divided between three sports. Baseball is my fave to watch, but alas I think American Football would be much more interesting. (The Reffs are being paid!!!) ;)

I would vote for Cricket, but fear that it will be of only minority interest here.

Boxing might be interesting. I can't stand the sport myself, but bouts between Middle-earth characters would make interesting reading. How would a championship be organised?

Whatever happened to Formula 1? That would be my favoured option.

I'd say 32 boxers, 1 on 1, elimination style till we have a king to crown.

You get me a poker game that allows simulation and I'll give you a ME Poker tournament. Anyway I'm sorry about the delay in the start of the game but due to the party (which was AWESOME!) I couldn't do anything.

Since I must tear open the presents now I doubt I will do anything yet. So expect the tournament tomorrow.
