Oscars

I was watching one of the special features on the RotK EE DVD, and it showed Alan Lee winning an Oscar for conceptual design or something like that. I began wondering, why didn't John Howe get nominated too? Is it because Alan held a higher position? I thought they had the same position. Anyways, someone clue me in.

Alan Lee was THE conceptual desginer, John howe have a minor role in the movie. PJ give a major role to Alan Lee.

I prefer the art of John Howe. http://www.john-howe.com/

Just wanted to remind you that John Howe actually helped WETA with the armour. That turned out to be one of his major roles in the production.
