Another is "town ripped in two" (the fact that men where 'divided' in middle earth, or in other words, too many past disputes and grudges.) Faramir: "The perfect Fit" ~ Dresden Dolls... A lovely piano rock song about a not-so-perfect being, forced to be. "i can't fix a car/but i can fix a flat/i could fix alot of things/but i'd rather not get into that"... "Comfortably Numb" by the ever-glorious Pink Floyd describes Theoden under the influence of Saruman and Grima. Of course, the extent of his deterioration and helplessness depends on whether you go by the book or movie version of Theodon, but either way it's applicable.
