Don't cry for me Gríma Wormtongue

In TTT, after Saruman gives his uruk army a pep talk, we see the Gríma is crying (well, a single tear slowly trickles down his dirty cheek). I'm wondering why exactly.

I've thought of several possiblities with various levels of selfishness:
1) He's realized "no dawn for men" is his country, and that's all his fault.
2) He's realized "no dawn for men" includes Éowyn, and that's all his fault.
3) He's realized "no dawn for men" includes himself, and that's all his fault.

Of course it's probably each to varying levels, but how much of which?

Different reason

I always thought he was crying because him and Saruman reached an emotional level in the story. Here you have 10 000 Uruk-hai at your disposal very touching moment if you are evil. Who knows we all know Grima goes into rage and kills Saruman, but from this early on, I just thought Grima was touched because he thought Saruman was indestructable. If that makes any sense.

There are two more threads on this subject, though this is the only one I could find:

Gima Crying???

There's some good discussion on this thread, & I think we hit upon the most probable reason somewhere in there :D.
