Release date for EE from play.com
Play.com have the release date and some info on the 'Collectors box set' of ROTK.
It's 22nd November. The details they have are as follows: Quote:
anyway, here's the link: http://www.play.com/play247.asp?page...2&title=174260 |
That would be nice. In a local store's home page they said that RotK EE would be released on 12th December but the sooner the better. Of course the release dates may vary depending on different countries but I'd believe that they release it here in Finland at the same time they release it for example in the USA.

Thanks for the pics, dancing spawn of ungoliant, those are sweet (though I suppose I'll have to be doing a bit of money saving :p)!can't wait until they're released...

It looks great, well worth the wait. Does anybody know if there is any plan for a trilogy box set of extended editions to be brought out? I would think that there probably would be but without any extra extra discs if you get my meaning. At any rate I doubt that it would come with all the free gifts.

good pics, and via the onering.net I've heard that the companion piece to Minas Tirith you can buy from sideshow collectables is Minas Morgul.

They certainly love making book ends don't they!

any ideas for the date?
Ive heard that the ee is supposed to be released on nov. 22, dec. 12, and dec. 24 any other dates or concrete info?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- on another note- implodingsheep.com said this- "The set will feature more than 50 additional minutes of footage, including some 300 additional effect shots. Among the new scenes we were able to preview this weekend were: the final confrontation between Gandalf and Sarumon at Isengard, the "mouth" of Sauron at the Black Gate, Aragorn revealing the sword Anduril to Sauron's eye in the Seeing-stone, the confrontation between the Witch King and Gandalf at Minas Tirith, more battle footage on the Pelennor fields, Frodo and Sam marching with Sauron's forces disguised as Orcs, Faramir telling Denethor that he would never use the power of the Ring, Aragorn looking down upon a fleet of Corsair ships from a ridgetop, Faramir and Éowyn at the House of Healing, Merry pledging allegiance to King Theoden at Gondor, Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli narrowly escaping an avalanche of skulls deep inside the Dwimorberg and MUCH more. From what we've seen, this final extended cut promises to be every bit as good as the previous two. We also learned that the set will feature more than 20 hours of supplemental content." i have no idea if this is true tho. im extremely impatient! |
