A couple pics

There's one picture of Elrond's hair from the FotR DVD gallery that I'd really like to print out. There's another that's on a map that I'd like to manipulate on my computer, but I don't have a scanner.

Any help or ideas?

This post will probably be closed but I will answer your question anyway. For the DVD if you have a DVD player on your computer just put in the DVD get it to the correct picture and do a "screen capture" by pressing the print screen button. If you don't know where that is it should be over the number pad. From there open paint and go edit, paste and you will be able to do what you want with it from there. As for the map, if you have a digi cam you can take a picture of it. If not find some one that has a scanner or digicam and use theirs. Better yet try to find the map on the internet. Google image search can have great results. Good Luck.

Rihgt, computers can play DVDs now, can't they.

Thanks for your help.

Darn it, where's the 'close topic' button? Oh well, the Barrow will find it somewhere.

Not yet!

You shouldn't close this topic yet, because if you haven't found out by now, all computer DVD players have disabled the print screen function or have a program that will negate the picture. All you will get is a blank shot. I believe you have to get some sort of software that works around it, but there's that whole legal issue to reckon with.

Legal issue! Ha! I will find a way around it. What is the big deal copying pics. It is not like you can sell them for who would buy them if they could do the same thing.

Later: Ha! I tried the screen capture and it worked just fine and I have a brand new computer, I ever used ROTK. But of course I have a Dell which is superior at getting around that junk. :D The only reason I can't burn PS2 games is because I don't have PS2 formated CD's. Sorry but I just can't help bragging about my new Preciousss...
