I just made this for myself. I had the idea a while ago after watching FotR to keep busy.

funny, sure :D

Angry Brandybuck 02-22-2004 02:14 PM

Brilliant, fantastic, amazing, comrade! But quiet, you may have drawn attention to us, McArthy has spies everywhere and they are ever vigilant.

Nilpaurion Felagund 02-23-2004 12:52 AM

Da, tovarich!

Wait, where's Stalin?

burrahobbit 02-23-2004 02:14 AM

That isn't what the joke is.

HerenIstarion 02-23-2004 06:36 AM

party business is, I suppose :)

burrahobbit 02-23-2004 01:21 PM

Yes.

HerenIstarion 02-23-2004 11:44 PM

I knew it, I knew it!

Nilpaurion Felagund 02-24-2004 02:26 AM

I was asking where Stalin was, because he once was a General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union.

EDIT: Of course, then I should also have asked, "Where's Khrushchev? Where's Gorbachev? Where are the others?"

Evisse the Blue 02-24-2004 07:38 AM

Wait - do you have this on your desktop? Isn't the red a bit too... blinding? *cringe*
But sure enough it's funny!:D

burrahobbit 02-24-2004 12:20 PM

Nilpaurion Felagund, but I don't really care about THAT party. And I like Lenin better.

Evisse the Blue, yes, but it's always behind stuff.

Mariska Greenleaf 02-27-2004 10:21 AM

I like it. A lot.
In fact, I just installed it as my wallpaper, but it's already hurting my eyes.
Possibly because I'm used to black and green...:smokin:

burrahobbit 02-27-2004 10:52 AM

The proletariat revolution begins anew!

Arwen Evenstar 02-27-2004 12:28 PM

Stupid red Xs! I can`t see it! Anyways, didn`t you just pull a burra, burrahobbit?

burrahobbit 02-27-2004 01:25 PM

I don't know what that means. Try the bigger version if the one above is an x, I had to be sneaky to get it to work at all.

HerenIstarion 02-28-2004 12:33 AM

meaningless piece of information to be added up to the soup - yours truly was born on Lenin's death day. So what, you'll ask - nothing, really :smokin:

Not sure if I can agree with you there. Is there even a proletariate anymore? The way I see it, most of your average Joe workers don't care about politics anymore and us intellectual professional revolutionaries have a hard time getting anything organised. Funding is very low as well ever since Glasnost.

Just to get this back 'on topic' (I hate that phrase) for the mods, would Communism ever work in Middle Earth? It would obviously have to come after the Industrial revolution...

burrahobbit 02-28-2004 12:47 PM

That is off topic as anything. On Topic is how awesome I am.

The Barrow-Wight 02-28-2004 01:16 PM

Very funny. Back to the gulag!
