Massive Spoiler of one main scene taken out of ROTK

Aragorn heals her; she falls harder for him; Faramir falls for her. Jackson shot it, but felt the movie had strayed from Frodo too long. Viggo Mortensen was sad to learn (from Newsweek) the scene was gone. It'll be on the DVD. <HR></BLOCKQUOTE><P>I warned you! Funnily enough, I had a feeling this would be left out when I saw Sam and aragorn talking about kingsfoil in fotr.<P>The full report, including the openening scene, can be found on <A HREF="http://www.msnbc.com/news/996638.asp" TARGET=_blank>http://www.msnbc.com/news/996638.asp</A>

That really was inevitable. I never expected a lot of detail here.<P>Anyway, don't take this the wrong way, and I do appreciate Essex's spoiler space, but I told myself that once the detailed reviews start coming in that I would begin avoiding the boards. I love guessing at this stuff, but I want most of it to be a surprise.<P>We'll see you guys December 17. I have little doubt this is going to be great! <P>H.C.

Good idea...don't know if I'm disciplined enough, but it's worth a try! With the new way the topics come up, I read HC's plan first and now have nothing to say about the (unread) spoiler! NEXT!
|
I see your point HC, but I really don't care about spoiling anything when I already know the overall story line from the book. I know most of you don't think that way but for me bring on the spoilers!

No shocker there, PJ probably wanted more time for the Arwen-Witch King battle.
|
...Eowyn/Witch-King, you mean.<BR>Which, incidently, if the same source is to be believed, has been messed about with, dialogue-wise. <BR>No mention of "Begone, foul dwimmerlaik...for living or dark undead, I will smite you if you touch him." Instead, the quote is "If you touch him I will kill you."<BR>Very epic language - I don't think.

That spoiler Essex posted was a little shock to me but luckily it'll be on dvd! It would have been nice if the dialogue writers had used more quotes from the book.
