Learning Elvish

I am quite new to the whole LOTR stuff but really want ot learn Elvish but have no idea where to start. Do any of you know of some good websites where I can download courses (especially in Tengwar)? I have already downloaded one from somewhere and a Tengwar font although whether this is entirely accurate I dont know as it seems just to replicate letters.

Please Help!!!!

Ardalambion is a good site to use for Tolkien languages. It is very accurate and offers a Quenya course, as well as a lot of other information.

Good day, elf-girl-63! Welcome to the Downs. Here's a link to a thread on learning elvish: If You Want To Learn Elvish, Look No Further!
Using the 'search' function is helpful in order to find information that you want, or before starting a thread that has been done many, many times, so that we can save on the amount of bandwidth used here. This will probably be closed soon, but don't feel bad. Just learn to use the 'search'. Have fun, and good luck learning elvish!
Peace

Hello

Ardalambion is best for Quenya and www.councilofelrond.com is best for Sindarin they still have a languages forum so can also help with any questions!

Exactly right (about Tengwar, that is)! Tengwar is caligraphy. It isn't the language, but it is the way that any Elf kid would have learned to write their language.

I'm currently studying Quenya, and it is interesting. The famous Elvish greeting "elen síla lúmenn' omentielvo" is in Quenya. Good luck.
