Hey there. Interesting place.

Thinlómien 01-12-2006 08:31 AM

Welcome, Steven!
Hope you enjoy your stay here.

Gil-Galad 01-12-2006 07:58 PM

Aye, welcome Steven

rutslegolas 01-19-2006 05:44 AM

Ah The BarrowDowns , I am back after a year of wandering in the wilderness, and I hope this place has remained unchanged . :D

elronds_daughter 01-19-2006 07:18 AM

Welcome back, ruts! I know what it feels like to have been away a long time....I myself have only recently come back to 'Downage. Again, may I be the first to offer you a very hearty welcome back!

Moksha 01-20-2006 05:59 PM

Home Again, Home Again...

Well, it has been far too long, and my old name expired.

So, I'm Moksha, the reincarnation of Saraphim.

Life came up and abruptly smacked me 'round with a flaming trout, and rendered it difficult for me to spend any quality time here. But, I missed the ol' Downs terribly...and now here I am...

So, hi, everyone!

Glirdan 01-20-2006 06:38 PM

Poor Saraphim... I mean Moksha. Well, at least your back, right? :D ;)

Yes, and it is good to be back...^_^...thanks.

Feanor of the Peredhil 01-20-2006 06:54 PM

Welcome back, Mokshaphim! Would you believe that your new moniker forcibly reminds me of Aldous Huxley's Island?

PS: welcome back and welcome to everyone else that I just forgot.

Gil-Galad 01-20-2006 10:46 PM

Welcome back...uh... M. Saraphim... bah all the other ones were used...

suncrafter 01-21-2006 03:19 AM

Hi, Everyone! I'm Suncrafter.

Hi, Everyone! I'm Suncrafter.

I came across this forum while doing research for my website about Orcs.

Yesterday I had posted a thread about "45 Things that Orcs never say." But it was removed as spam. Evidently it is OK to post links in your signature at the bottom but not OK to post links in the body of the post. That's what I get for not reading the rules. I'll try re-posting "45 Things that Orcs never say" when I find time.

Thinlómien 01-21-2006 03:24 AM

Welcome, suncrafter!

Nogrod 01-22-2006 01:50 PM

With some five or six days "seniority" over you ;) , I must say, this is a most welcoming community.

...and addictive.

Try to hold your horses, or you'll lose your life outside the computer & your mind - or at least you may start neglecting your duties, as has happened to me... at least for the time being.

Have fun!

Gil-Galad 01-26-2006 09:21 PM

Raynor, as in Jim Raynor?

welcome and enjoy yourself Raynor

Glirdan 01-26-2006 09:25 PM

Welcome Raynor to your death. I hope you enjoy your coffin full of nails as well as the fresh meat. I must also add that all the neighbours are friendly and won't bite...hard. :D  ;)

Raynor 01-27-2006 10:40 AM

Well, these have to be the creepiest welcomes I ever received :D

Kath 01-27-2006 10:46 AM

Don't worry Raynor, it means we like you!

Welcome to all those I've missed recently!

Thinlómien 01-27-2006 11:03 AM

Welcome Nogrod and Raynor!

I don't know why, but I've picked up a bad habit of posting creepy welcomes to new members. I'm glad you liked it!! Again, welcome!! :D

Boromir88 01-27-2006 02:51 PM

Don't worry Raynor, you're grave isn't as bad as mine. Atleast, you're not next to Gil-galad...oops did I say that out loud. :p

Welcome and enjoy your stay.

JennyHallu 01-30-2006 12:52 PM

Hello, I'm JennyHallu, or just Jenny, or Hallu, or the Mass Hallucination (but that's really more of a title than a name.) I am a long-time Tolkien fan, but I admit I may be a little rusty. Doesn't help that I'm recently married (yay!) and moved away from home and my only copy of the trilogy is technically my parents' (boo!)

Gil-Galad 01-30-2006 12:55 PM

welcome Jenny Hallu and enjoy yourself here at downs, i hear the buffet is to die for, literally.

JennyHallu 01-30-2006 01:02 PM

I'm afraid I'm feeling a bit lively for my new position...

Well, You'll just have to live with that... :p

Wellcome from another newbie! This is a warm community. But don't forget your other life...

Naria 01-31-2006 12:38 AM

Hello

Welcome everyone! Hope you enjoy yourselves here in the Downs. :D I'll be your hostess for this evening, please come this way....

ohtatyaro 01-31-2006 02:48 AM

That's because you're newly deceased :) Animated skeleton stage must be pretty lively too, but than you become solemn ghost by and by :D

Welcome everyone!

JennyHallu 01-31-2006 08:31 AM

Woo-hoo! Animated skeleton! How nifty is that! :D

*polishes bones and dances around singing*

The toe bone's connected to the FOOT bone,
the foot bone's connected to the HEEL bone...(etc. etc. etc.)

Now whom shall I haunt?? :p

Glirdan 01-31-2006 06:00 PM

OOO!!! Pick me!! Pick me!!! I want to be haunted!! :D Welcome Jenny!! Enjoy the stay!!

Rune Son of Bjarne 01-31-2006 06:57 PM

Come on Glirdan! Do you really want to be hauntet by a pile o bones? Is it not a bit silly?

Your welcome to haunt me when you have become a wight Jenny. (Wich you will become rather fast if you spend some time in the Quiz Room! ;) )

Glirdan 01-31-2006 07:44 PM

Oh come Rune, I like bones. It signifies, for me anyway, that the fresh meat is becoming aquainted with the rest of us here dead people. :p ;)

JennyHallu 02-01-2006 07:03 AM

Bones make neat music...*tunes ribs* Look! I'm a Glockenspiel! (sp?)

Since skellingtons (gee, it's been too long since I read that book...long enough I can't remember which one it is...David Copperfield maybe?) make Rune nervous, I will cheerfully haunt Glirdan until I can muster up a more compelling phantasm.
