What (or who) am I talking about (I don't even know half the time!)

Hello, welcome ot my topic!
Nice easy one to start with, yeah?
Haha!

"I named myself "master of doom"
Who am I?

The Saucepan Man 04-14-2003 04:22 PM

Why, you must be Turin Turambar.

Master of Doom - how wrong he was ...

Belethcuwen 04-15-2003 02:01 AM

Well done to both The Saucepan Man and Arwen Evenstar.
The Saucepan MAn, it's your go.

This game reminds me of Who Am I

Indeed, it is similar. But then, there are two Odd One Out threads too. No harm in continuing ...

I command

Who am I?

Talon Stormcrow 04-15-2003 05:21 PM

Is it Ugluk?

The Saucepan Man 04-15-2003 05:29 PM

It surely is. The ol' big-head himself.

Your turn, Talon.

Beren87 04-15-2003 05:33 PM

This thread is exactly like the Who am I? and by the Quiz Room Rules duplicate games are not to be posted in.

The Saucepan Man 04-15-2003 05:48 PM

So, does that mean that the Who does not belong? thread is impermissible, as being identical to Odd One Out?

Also, this thread might take a different course from Who Am I, since questions on that thread tend to be in the form of riddles, whereas the questions here could be kept more straightforward.

Then again, can't say I'll lose any sleep if it is to be consigned to that great Quiz Forum in the sky ...

Talon Stormcrow 04-15-2003 06:26 PM

I guess I'll keep goin due to what The Saucepan Man pointed out....

This is prolly really easy but here goes...

I am the Second Marshal of the Mark

Threads made before the creation of the rules make that rule null and void. Obviously old threads aren't going to be deleted because they didn't agree with rules that didn't exist at their making.

Exactly, this is just how that thread started out, however, for reasons unbeknownst it turned into a bloody riddles thread. So as long as this one stays as is it is something different.

Allright, I was going to suggest we use the Character Quiz game, but I killed it off in favor of this one.

Continue, and sorry for the mess. Since I can't actually delete games, the only solution is to answer correctly then not go to kill it off.

EDIT: If anyone wants to send a PM to the Admins to suggest they nominate a Mod to the Quiz and Quotes rooms to help with messes like this, it would greatly appreciated by all.

That was my thought, to keep ridlles out of it, and keep it more straight forward

Belethcuwen 04-16-2003 01:43 AM

Is it Eomer?
The Saucepan Man: From the Faraway Tree, yes?
Belethcuwen

Talon Stormcrow 04-16-2003 08:11 AM

Nope its not Eomer. Good try but he's the Third Marshal of the Mark.

alaklondewen 04-16-2003 08:54 AM

The Second Marshall of the Mark was Theodred.

Belethcuwen 04-16-2003 09:06 AM

Oh yeah, Eomer was the third wasn't he? (now you know why this thread is called (I don't even know half the time) don't you?)
Belethcuwen

Talon Stormcrow 04-16-2003 02:33 PM

Yep, you got it Alaklondewen! Your turn!

Belethcuwen 04-21-2003 06:34 AM

Do we still have Alaklondewen here?
Belethcuwen

alaklondewen 04-21-2003 08:38 AM

Please forgive me! I forgot to check this one. Okay, on we go...

I created the sword that was broken.

elven maiden Earwen 04-21-2003 08:39 AM

Was it Telchar?

alaklondewen 04-21-2003 08:42 AM

Why yes it was! The board is yours.

elven maiden Earwen 04-21-2003 06:45 PM

Go me
I forged the black sword.

Horse-Maiden of the Shire 04-21-2003 07:20 PM

Telchar? Or it might be either Hurin or Morwen, if it is speaking of Turin.

Sophia the Thunder Mistress 04-21-2003 07:32 PM

Eol forged Anglachel originally. It was reforged as Gurthang in Nargothrond.

elven maiden Earwen 04-22-2003 09:23 PM

Mistrss of thunder is correct

Sophia the Thunder Mistress 04-27-2003 08:19 PM

I was famous for first being an ambitious avenger in battle, and later as a timid lover rejected.

Belethcuwen 04-28-2003 11:35 AM

Is it Turin Turambar?

Sophia the Thunder Mistress 04-28-2003 11:57 AM

No, but you're in the right story

Eruanna 04-28-2003 01:10 PM

Gwindor?

Sophia the Thunder Mistress 04-28-2003 02:25 PM

Precisely He lost the girl to Turin... poor Gwindor, I always feel bad for him.

Eruanna 04-28-2003 03:57 PM

I ruled Númenor for 75 years. I was considered the greatest enemy of the Faithful and would not permit their entry to my land, nor the use of the Eldarin tongues. It was said that I revered nothing.

Sophia the Thunder Mistress 04-28-2003 04:26 PM

Ar-Gimilzor?

Eruanna 04-28-2003 04:28 PM

Exactly. Well done Sophia.

Sophia the Thunder Mistress 04-29-2003 01:08 PM

I sent my son, a descendant of kings, to a place of safety in a time that evil was re-released in the world.

Talon Stormcrow 04-29-2003 02:49 PM

Arathorn?

Sophia the Thunder Mistress 04-29-2003 05:37 PM

nope... Aragorn wound up at Rivendell cause his parents were dead.

Sophia

The Saucepan Man 04-29-2003 06:36 PM

Then are you Isildur, who left his fourth son, Valandil, in safety in Rivendell?

Sophia the Thunder Mistress 04-29-2003 07:18 PM

No I am not... think older

The Saucepan Man 04-30-2003 09:49 AM

How about Morwen, mother of Turin, whom she sent to safety in Doriath. Is Turin a descendant of Kings, though?
