Call for participants in a Tolkien research project

This PhD research survey is being run by Rev. Tom Emanuel, who is a PhD candidate in Fantasy at the University of Glasgow. His phd is funded by the Scottish Graduate School for Arts & Humanities (SGSAH) and is supervised by Professor Dimitra Fimi, so it is a substantial, legitimate research project. Here are Tom's own words about the invitation:

Quote:

Are you a fan of The Lord of the Rings? Do you identify as nonreligious? Would you be interested in talking to me for 1-2 hours about why you love Tolkien?
If you answered 'yes' I would love it if you filled out this questionnaire for my PhD research! http://https://uofg.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_bQUECSBD7DVRlQy
Once I've collected enough responses, I'll reach out to a representative sample of 20 respondents for Zoom interviews in Spring 2024. If you know someone who might be a good fit for this project, please share!
Tom is a great guy, deeply interested in all things Middle-earth, very interested in talking with other Tolkien fans, and very supportive of both new and long term readers of Tolkien. I have no doubt that if you contact him and are chosen to be in the representative sample you will really enjoy talking with him. He has chosen to allow the respondents to define for themselves "nonreligious".
