Main Site problems?

If you are experiencing any problems or note anything odd with the main site (www.barrowdowns.com), please post a message here describing it. I moved everything onto one server, which required a lot of reprogramming.

Some things that I am aware of are:

Mad Libs: Some of them do not work. They are being reprogrammed.
Quizzes: Many of them do not work. They are being reprogrammed.
Encyclopedia: Tons of entries are being re-entered.

Thanks

Um...well...for one thing, I can't get on! Whenever I try, all I get is
Quote:

Not Found
The requested URL /Welcome.asp was not found on this server
Does my computer not meet new server requirments, or is something just wrong?

All I'm getting is a black page, with the text -

Quote:

Today's Date in the Shire

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a01fb'

An exception occurred: 'HTMLEncode'

/includes/Calendar.asp, line 17

If you are getting a blank page or an error, that means your ISP is still looking at the old location. Wait a few hours (maybe as long as a couple days) and your ISP with the new address of the site.

Ah! I got it! Don't use your old bookmark for The Downs if you have one! I tried the bookmark, but it didn't work. Then, when I typed it in, it worked. So I infer that the bookmarks are a problem! Barrow-Wight: I haven't been through everything, but I'll run a sweep!

I don't know if this is a main site problem or a personal computer problem, but I was unable to recieve a PM after the sender tried multiple times to send it to me.

Cheers,
Imladris

No changed were made to the forum.

Nothing was done to the forum, so I can't explain why your PMs might not be working right. I've sent you a PM to test it.

It shows up very strangely on Mozilla. No right banner at all, and loose coding on the left just showing up. It's been like that for about a week.

The Barrow-Wight 09-06-2004 08:08 AM

Any chance you can post or send a screen capture of that, Beren87?

I know I'm not Beren but...I do have Mozilla...and..I figured that since I'm on, and he's not, I took the liberty of taking a screenshot:

Here

It might take a while to load...

OK. I've gotten rid of the offending code that was still lingering from our ASP days. How is it looking now?

Imladris 09-06-2004 02:04 PM

Most excellent! :D

The Perky Ent 09-12-2004 02:22 PM

It's all good! I'd specifically like to comment on the new pictures. They're excellent! Now I know my donations are being well used ;) Keep it up!!
