Odd man out physical features
Try this one, it's probably easy:
Frodo Ugluk Legolas Azog Turin |
Frodo... at the end of the 3rd age only had 9 fingers?
no, but keep trying. Think race differences....
None of them are of the same race.
They were all short except for legolas?
Wait, it's the other way around. *smacks head* They were all TALL except for frodo.
They were all part-elf apart from Frodo?
All lost their father at an earli age except Legolas and I am in doubt about Ugluk
No, no and no, but that part elf one was pretty good, I didn't think of that. Maybe I should have included another hobbit....
Lego was blond???
Damn, I didn't think of that either. No, but I hope someone gets it sooner or later. It's something you might "hear" about but not think of at first.
Frodo never wore shoes!
Damn! Yet another, crap. Go back to actual body parts.
sorry about my previous reply..just remembered its never mentioned what colour lego's hair was...damn orlando bloom, making me think of blond hair...grr...
Um, Frodo had curly hair?
Wow, another one I didn't guess. I really should have put another hobbit in instead of Ugluk.
I had to reply only because I know the answer! Legolas was the only one with pointy ears.
frodo had hairy feet
Well, Ugluk was a Urūk-Hai, which is a crossbread. The others were full-blood of whatever race they belonged to.
i think the original asker forgot about this so anyone can take it i guess
think movie characters:
Frodo Aragorn Gandalf Merry Elrond easy, it think And if you wanna know, I thnk the full-blood think was good. |
You said think movie characters....
Frodo is the only one that is not played by an actor close to his own age. |
actually that's a stupid answer, now that I think about it... isn't Elrond a couple of thousands of years old?!
Okay, Aragorn (Viggo Mortensen) is the only one not wearing a wig. [ October 01, 2002: Message edited by: hobbitlass ] |
Actually, I forgot where I was going with that one ...the wig thing sounds good...take it hobbitlass!
okay.....
Shelob Faramer Beren Sauron Frodo |
Mm...a few that could apply I guess.
Sauron was the only one who could change his alter his physical features upon command? |
Faramir never had hands or fingers or claws bit or cut off - the others did.
Sauron: finger cut off by Isildur Frodo: finger bit of by Gollum Beren: Hand bit off by Carcharot Shelob: claw cut off by Sam [ October 02, 2002: Message edited by: Telchar ] |
Blast!
I pondered that, but for some reason, Beren's incident did not occur to me, so I ruled it out. |
yep Telchar, that's what I was thinking of.
Your go... |
OK
Aldarion Tour Earendil Elros Tar-Minastir |
Here's my guess: They all sailed or explored except Elros?
good idea - but no - remember the thread name...
Earendil was the only one who could (and did) change his shape?
he could?? he did? please tell me! Where is that written? Earendil the Mariner????
Still of course that not it Susan as I didnt know it! |
Well, after went to Aman to plead for help against Morgoth, he changed into a bird so he could get back to Beleriand. After that, he set sail into the sky, becoming a Star, so he could keep Beren and Luthien's Silmaril out of Morgoth's clutches.
edit: All right, I was wrong about him turning into a bird, that was Elwing. But he did become a Star in order to protect the Silmaril. How about, Earendil was the only one given a choice of Doom? [ October 06, 2002: Message edited by: Susan Delgado ] |
Was it Eärendil since he had a Silmaril bound upon his brow and the others did not?
Btw Susan, could you tell me which book that information is from? That's an interesting piece of info I didn't know |
It's from the Silmarillion, chapter 24, "Of the Voyage of Earendil and the War of Wrath"
no and no - And Earendil didnt 'become a star - He sails the heavens in his ship Vingilot still wearing the Silmaril on his brow and as a lil help the Silmaril has nothing to do with the answer... Here is a little hint: All og them, but one, has something special about him.
From ME perspective, he did.
Tuor had no Elven blood |
Fair enough Susan - difference in interpretation should be allowed and your answer was perfectly correct - no elvish blood in Tuor. Please go on
