LOTR: The Third Age (the RPG game)

Sure, It might be blasphemy to the Tolkien universe, but its oh so fun...

Anyone play this rpg? Your thoughts on it?

I had my doubts about it but decided to look beyond the fact that nothing like it happens in the movies let alone the books...but its still fun to run around fighting orcs and trolls...and a balrog  , and the Witch King  , and fight at Helm's Deep, and Minas Tirith and so on...

Evil mode. Hell, this game was insanely fun and as most people (Evisse) know that I'm addicted to video-games, I'll say this was one fun RPG and would've been better if I didn't know anything about Tolkien and it weren't so cheesy but overall it wasn't so bad and definately worth a shot. (No matter what Gamespot says this is Sleepy Ranger talking.)

great game except the fight against sauron's eye is the biggest anti-climax in video games history.......

and my 6 year old son is addicted to it. I can't push him out of the way to play my gran turismo 4 now..............

Looks cool, I will check it out. I've also tried ROTK for xbox and Battle for Middle Earth (PC). ROTK was a lot of fun but gets repetitive quickly. Meanwhile BFME is a great strategy game and uses a lot of movie/music from the films. Definately worth checking out for a lotr/strategy fan.
