Songs and Verses

Well, the title explains it all, but for those of you who don't get it: The way the game works is, someone will post a line from a song or verse. It can be from anywhere. Then, people answer with who says it, when it's said, and if it's a song of verse. The person who answers correctly gets to post the next one? It's pretty simple, so let's get started! The first one is
Quote:

The white lilies sway,
Have at it!

Well, there is the "Who Sang It?" thread at the bottom of this page. But oh well.

That's from song of Lebennin, I think.

I realized there's a who sang it, but this requires more info about the question, and it can be either a song or a verse. Anyways, you've got the right song, but who said it and where?

Point taken.

Hm.. Legolas sang it, in the Houses of Healing. [I had to break out the book to remember where! Blast you! =P]

Yes! Now you see the challenge! Right, your go!

Hmm.. what can I dig up? ;)

Quote:

We wandered shyly hand in hand/ or rollicked in the fairy sand
This is more of a historic question [in regards to the Legendarium], than anything else. Tell me what the two lines are from and what version of the source it is. Then, tell me why the final version never found a place in the mythology.

Have fun.
