No, no no and no..... but you´re thinking in the right direction, exept for Tigerlilly, that is.

the phantom 02-25-2003 12:07 PM

Manardariel 02-25-2003 12:49 PM

Sindafalathiel 02-25-2003 06:23 PM

Poetry?
Quote:

Powerfull without a sword
Caressing and sweet without a hand
thin air filled with life
and magic fills the land
 • Poetry can move you powerfully, making you see the world in a new light.
 • Poetry is often written to a boyfriend/girlfriend.
 • When poetry is spoken, it seems to fill everything with sadness, or happiness, greif, or anger, whatever the poem is about.
 • Poetry can tell a story of a magical place.

Horse-Maiden of the Shire 02-25-2003 06:53 PM

A rhyme?

Manardariel 02-26-2003 09:51 AM

the phantom, I´ll give it to you. I was looking for music, but song is fine as well.

the phantom 02-26-2003 10:13 AM

Thank you. You are much too kind!

Look in the North, and you will see me,
Go to my left hand and you will find the sea
On my right hand over river and mountains
You'll see the green vale with the musical fountains

Where am I?

Garen LiLorian 02-27-2003 11:06 PM

The Havens? Only works if the Shire has "musical fountains"...

Samwise 02-27-2003 11:10 PM

Mirkwood? (as usual, no idea...)

Horse-Maiden of the Shire 02-27-2003 11:11 PM

Valinor? Don't laugh at me, I'm horrible at geography but...Lorien?

Lady_Báin 02-28-2003 04:27 AM

Annunfuiniel 02-28-2003 08:05 AM

This one is quite confusing.
But are you in Bree (or somewhere around there ) or in Swanfleet??
Hey, had to try something!

the phantom 02-28-2003 01:02 PM

Nobody found me yet, but Garen LiLorian is close with "the havens" and Lady_Bain is close with "Angband".

(my most specific directions are to the musical fountains, so once you know where the musical fountains are, you should be able to get it)

Annunfuiniel 02-28-2003 03:08 PM

You might be in Nargothrond (exept you can't for it's forever gone)...

Horse-Maiden of the Shire 02-28-2003 05:20 PM

Hmm.....Gondolin?

The Saucepan Man 02-28-2003 07:48 PM

Dor-Lomin?

It is in the north, has the sea to the west, and to the east, over the mountains and the river Sirion, Gondolin.

the phantom 02-28-2003 08:24 PM

The Saucepan Man has it!

Go right ahead.

The Saucepan Man 02-28-2003 09:43 PM

Uh-oh. My first attempt at a riddle ...

The foundation of castles
Where darkening hordes lie
I give joy to young minds
As I mark time going by

What am I?

Samwise 02-28-2003 10:40 PM

Um. Imagination?

Manardariel 03-01-2003 11:09 AM

"The old tales"?

The Saucepan Man 03-02-2003 07:53 PM

Nope. Neither of those. It is something more tangible.

Luthien_ Tinuviel 03-02-2003 08:04 PM

books? Records of history?

Horse-Maiden of the Shire 03-02-2003 10:07 PM

the Red Book of Westmarch?

Manardariel 03-03-2003 04:01 AM

I keep thinking it´s a building.. maybe Isengard?

The Saucepan Man 03-03-2003 08:32 PM

No. It's not specifically LotR related.

Samwise 03-03-2003 09:30 PM

A library?

Lady_Báin 03-06-2003 06:17 AM

the halls of record at gondor?? way of i know but that is a toughy.

aragornreborn 03-06-2003 12:53 PM

It's not simply the earth is it?

It gives joy to my mind! And castles sit on it! By the way, if by some miracle I'm right, do I HAVE to think of a riddle?

WarBringer 03-06-2003 04:46 PM

i also think its the earth itself...

The Saucepan Man 03-07-2003 09:46 AM

WarBringer and aragornreborn - you are soooooooooo very close ...

... but no cigar!

Manardariel 03-07-2003 01:00 PM

Middle-Earth
The Stars
The Universe
Soil
I can´t decide...

Annunfuiniel 03-07-2003 02:32 PM

I just need to say Rock! There, now I've said it.

The Saucepan Man 03-07-2003 06:23 PM

Soil ... Rock ...

Both very close.

Here's a clue - each line describes something that this is used for ...

Samwise 03-07-2003 08:48 PM

A mountain?

Horse-Maiden of the Shire 03-07-2003 10:30 PM
