I thought it was burrahobbit (my memory might be wrong), and wasn't it about the Crystal Heart Fiasco (or CHF, as it is somewhat fondly now known as)?
|
Not obloquy, no. A hint to the poster's nature: that was his/her entire post, and for him/her, it was a remarkably long one at that. (Apologies for the clumsy wording of that sentence)
EDIT: sorry Fea, didn't see you there ;) Good lord, that thread has been initialised? The CHF. Sounds like a directorial position - "The CHF will see you know, Ms. Peredhil..." ...or did you just make that up on the spot? I'm sorry, I'm waffling. Yes, it was burra - over to Fea. |
I didn't make up "CHF", though I snickered when I figured out what it meant the first time I saw it. A few of us have used it via PMs.
Onward! Quote:

From one of the smartest chaps in the Downs . . .
Keeper of Dol Gol . . . erm . . . Guldur.
|
And so it is. I spotted "Khamul Lives" and snickered, thinking "yes... the Keeper of Dol G[o]ldur does indeed live... in the bedroom across the hall from me." :)
|
Thanks.
Brush your teeth, you Georgian delinquent! |
Too hard?
I'll replace it with something more up-to-date, relatively.
the phantom's ego . . . will look nearly the size of a new planet from space. |
Just to satisfy my curiosity - surely the Georgian delinquent could not refer to the erudite and urbane Mr Heren Istarion? Georgian though he be...
|
Now let me see... who was it that was discussing arrogance on the phantom's predictions thread? Gil-Galad, perhaps? I seem to remember his ego swelling to the size of a... was it a planet? I'm really just too lazy to go check.
Ah, on second check (my laziness hasn't claimed me entirely, just mostly), I see that t'was TOREstel. And that Gil-Galad's ego was not a moon, simply something visable from space. |
Rats, I saw that quote to late. Then again, are we allowed to guess our own quote/sig? That would seem to be slightly unfair...
|
Yup. He said it.
Mith, the Georgian delinquent was indeed, our esteemed wizards, H-I. See why on this thread.
Take it, Fea. |

That would be Bęthberry. (Note the proper "ę".)

On to you, as you well know. PS: Remember what Aman said about originality? It resided as my sig for a time also. So TOREstel gets props for homework as well. :D |
Thanks!
I guess 'h' is just one sexy letter. |
popping in...
That would be Durelin's, in the thread 'Fordim or Fordhim? The Horrors of S-p-e-l-l-i-n-g.'
|
Nassty wicked sisster!
*sigh* Your thread, daga. :p
|
Nilp: :p
Here's an easy one, if you know where to look: Quote:

That would be none other than Estelyn.

Yours, Firefoot.

Five of 'em said it.
H-I.

That's the one... er, five. ;)

Thanks!
I posit that there is no such thing as a person's 'real voice'. |
I'm going to guess Eomer of the Rohirrim, but I can't be positive because I haven't been awake long enough to double check.
|
'twas him.
Yours. :)
|
*poke*
Fea?
|
Oh heavens... I completely forgot this thread was mine. I've been waiting for someone else to post!

Without checking, that sounds like something Mithalwen would say.

Hooray, a quote from an active thread - Mark12_30 from the 'Reputations thread.

Durelin, on Horrors of Spelling?

Absolutely - just...such a good word.
Your turn, Captain. |
Indeed. T'is a fine word. :D

I would take a guess at Trogdor's biggest fan, Gil-Galad.
|
I finally found it, though it was a little bit older post than I thought. It was Elianna in the "What Do You Assign to Mordor?" thread, about Calculus.

How about this:

That would be Kransha in the "A Little Somethin' Somethin' Just For You " thread.
