Diamond, I have already done my part of a bargain. If you want me to stick around after this guy is booted out then it's gonna cost you. :p

Thinlómien 08-20-2006 07:43 AM

He has my disapproval.

++Tar-Aldarion

Rune Son of Bjarne 08-20-2006 08:03 AM

I just read about Aldarion and Erendis in Unfinished Tales (again) and that guy realy angers. I am having such a hard time reading that part, even harder than reading Narn I Hîn Húrin

++Tar-Aldarion

Eomer of the Rohirrim 08-20-2006 08:07 AM

It's the most boring thing Tolkien ever wrote.

End of Day 13

So the end of Day 13 has arrived and the clearest majority has arisen. Apparently nobody really likes Tar-Aldarion or we are all in the mood to agree.

Final Vote Count

Tar-Aldarion - 10
Bofur - 1
Sauron - 1

Tar-Aldarion, got the hint that he was no longer wanted on the island, but to be honest he really didn't mind. He had other adventures and new conquests to undertake. He set sail immediately but before he could even reach the horizon a pirate ship with a nasty rouge onboard began attacking Tar-Aldarion's ship and was swiftly sunk. The remaining contestants saw that the vessel name as it departed: the S.S. Eomer.

Get these random Dwarves out of here! What did Bofur ever actually contribute to the Quest anyway?

Oh yeeeeah? After you came in and started the Tar-Aldarion campagin well after my Sauron campaign had been underway, forcing me to wait at least another day? You, my dear rogue, are an usurper and a lying, cheating varlot.

And so is

The Dark Lord must not be allowed to survive.

++ Sauron

mormegil 08-20-2006 08:48 PM

Okay, for a Dark Lord he's fairly dimwitted. He poured all his power into a ring, seriously a ring. Those things are so easy to loose. Why not make it something like a bic pen with a flower or something large taped on it like they do at gas (petrol) stations so as to not loose it.

Plus he let two lousy hobbits into his own impregnable country and walk to his front door to destroy his ring.

++Sauron the nitwit

I'm inclined to agree. He is silly and does not-at-all good things.

Lord of the Flower Clad Bic Pens, indeed.

++Sauron

It'd be one thing if Sauron were here from LotR. But what's he do in the Sil? Plays second hat to Melkor, gets his butt kicked by Luthien and Huan, and that's about it. And he made some really dumb tactical errors in the War of the Ring. Seriously, it was his war to lose, and he lost it big time. Statistically, he should have won. Powerful cocky idiot.

Bêthberry 08-20-2006 10:40 PM

Really, how many of you think that the world (of choice) is well lost for the ring thing? :rolleyes:

(Okay, don't all of you answer that at once. ;) )

That so many of you apparently think Bofur is more interesting as Sauron is worrying, very worrying...

Now it is quite fun to keep a bad guy around for a while. But on the other hand, this might be a good time to get rid of Sauron, while there is a good momentum behind his eviction. He might be one of those who will be difficult to shake out later.

Day 14

Voting

Sauron - 9
Bofur - 8
Durin - 1

A close race but surprisingly not very heated day came to an end with Sauron inching out Bofur. As the votes were tallied the Dark Lord rose from his seat intent on keeping as much dignity as he could muster only to find himself breaking down into tears, not tears of sadness, but rather, of joy as he was presented his going away ring. He thought his ring had been found and now he would take over this puny island all by himself. However, much to his shock and dismay as he slipped on his ring he simply ceased to exist. People just didn't care enough anymore.

Day 15 begins and I believe Wilwa will be taking over now.

Gurthang 08-21-2006 02:06 PM

Well, I've been missing out. Let's see what we've got to work with.

*looks at list*

Looks like we've got a few too many dwarves left in the competition. I'm saddened that I come too late to change what happened just a few moments ago. Time to do some 'weeding out' of the... *coughStuntedcough* 'plants'. So away with them dark dwellers.

++Bofur

Meneltarmacil 08-21-2006 02:22 PM

Again, why do we have to keep one of the most useless characters in The Hobbit around for this long? I don't recall Bofur contributing much to the Quest at all except for looking after the ponies with Bombur at one point. Seriously, we need to get rid of him.

++Bofur

mormegil 08-21-2006 02:40 PM

++Gandalf

At least there won't be any more uncloaking jokes coming this way! ;)

Glirdan 08-21-2006 03:59 PM

I still say

++Bofur

This one's not bandwaggon. I seriously want him gone, the useless Dwarf.

mormegil 08-21-2006 04:07 PM

There seems to be a distinct case of dwarf-o-phobia and it sickens and saddens me to see such raw hatred against such a noble race. Bofur useless! Never have I heard such inflated tales of treachery and I've spent time with Saruman too. I guarantee that Bofur did more for that little adventure than any other including Gandalf, Bilbo and Thorin. He should stay and be praised but you all seem bent on diminishing such a noble and valiant character...for shame!

Firefoot 08-21-2006 04:16 PM

++Bofur

I can't remember anything significant about him at all. I can think of something for more than half the dwarves, but not Bofur. Morm, I notice you don't bring up anything specific... :p

Diamond18 08-21-2006 05:50 PM

As some of you may know, our beloved game of Werewolf was originally created as the game of Mafia.

And we all know that Gandalf is secretly a mob boss. A Mafia Don, if you will. One of his lesser known Elvish nicknames translates into Westron as The Erufather.

And, since I am always an innocent villager, I must do my duty and put an end to the sinister reign of:

Well I figured that even the most dimwitted individual with an advanced degree in Tolkienology would know this much. Bofur was responsible for uncovering the assassination attempt on Elrond's life while in Rivendell. That's right he single handedly uncovered an underground movement named The Weaving Society, which was a secret band set on the destruction of Elrond as we know it. He delved deep into this society and broke it all up before anything could come of it but without him their diabolical plans would have come to fruition. It's not recorded in The Hobbit for the sake of the children but it is a rather obscure fact that 'true fan's ;) ' all know.

This is one of many examples as to why Bofur is so important and exciting. He really is a super sleuth and has a high level of excitement and sex appeal.

The name is Bofur, James Bofur. ;)

I'm all in favour of doing anything to stop the unseemly display of uncloaked jokes. By this point, they are threadbare.

Let's get rid of the people eaters!

arcticstorm 08-21-2006 09:34 PM

I call on you all to hear my pleas!
We have one person here on this island who declared himself winner before the contest even started. What gall he, a mere dwarf, has to call himself,of all things, "deathless." IT is time he leaves us in order to understand that he cannot keep coming back in his kin. This dwarf ruind the good name of all dwarfs because of his arrogance.
