mark me down for ++Oin, too.

arcticstorm 12-19-2005 08:12 PM

Once again, he should have been gone days ago.

++GAlion

WaynetheGoblin 12-20-2005 06:29 AM

The death should have been posted by now.

Glirdan 12-20-2005 09:13 PM

Yes, quite sorry. I have so much to do that I don't always have time. I came on for a few minutes (more like two) and didn't have time to post the cast out. I'll have it up shortly.

Elu Ancalime 12-20-2005 09:17 PM

since glirdan has not posted the chart yet, ill slip in my vote:

i will jump on the badwagon and vote for OIN, because he is senseless enough to invite OLN over to the west-gate for some fly fishing and snorkeling, getting caught up by the Watcher of course. He is a disgrace and danger and has put televised fishing in jepordy!!!

Day 19

After another lengthy day, the votes were finally cast, for another useless being. Oin was his name and uselesness was the name of his game. To bad the others saw right throught that plot. That night at tribal council:

Beorn - 1
Oin -7
Galion 4

"Why me?" Oin asked. " I did nothing!!!" "Exactly!!!" cried his brother, Gloin. "You never even carried Bilbo in the tunnels of the Misty Mountains!!! And for that, we're casting you off!! Now go!!" And so Oin left, quite sulkily. However, he did not make it to the mainland. Before he got into the boat, he was dragged into the water by the Waterwatcher, who was actually there looking for specifically him!!

arcticstorm 12-20-2005 10:46 PM

I will once again work for the removal of Galion from our ranks. THe drunken elf needs to go, the drunken antics caused good ratings for a while. But now, they are causing the ratings to fall.
++Galion

Anguirel 12-21-2005 02:51 AM

++DAIN.

A violent and cowardly thug who engineered the death of his noble cousin Thorin in order to usurp his throne-even though he possessed a kingdom already. What a miser.

WaynetheGoblin 12-21-2005 06:11 AM

++GALION
I have already posted my reasons.

The Saucepan Man 12-21-2005 07:19 AM

++ GALION

Again. :D

Tuor of Gondolin 12-21-2005 07:29 AM

+ + Dain

He was just too eager to fight
against men and elves when Thorin
sent him a message asking
"Are you ready to rumble!"

Anguirel 12-21-2005 07:31 AM

Friends! Downers! Countrymen!

What confronts us now is the preservation of fairmindness; of unpredictability; of eclecticness; over mere dogged mediocrity.

Again and again-so often that their words congeal as stale glue in their Puritanical mouths-these unimaginative hoodlums have tried to pull the harmless and jovial butler Galion from his rightful position. In doing so, they have become increasingly boorish and tedious.

We need to teach them that such tactics do not, cannot, win. Join with me to displace Dain Slugfoot, hereinafter known as "The Kinslayer", tyrant of the Iron Hills and unlawful usurper of Erebor!

Together we shall uphold the true line of Kings under the Mountain and rout the wine-detesting psalm-singing hypocrites again!

Vote Dain Slugfoot, the Kinslayer!

Thinlómien 12-21-2005 07:38 AM

++ Galion Because I've done such a stupid thing as made him the father of one of my NPCs in a rpg... :rolleyes:
Besides, he's a drunk.

Rune Son of Bjarne 12-21-2005 07:46 AM

How many of you who is voting Galion dont enjoy beeing drunk once in a while?

I have seen no proof that he is a drunk, all we have is one isolated incident and that really does not make him a drunk.

++Dain

Anguirel 12-21-2005 07:50 AM

On royal delivery Dorwinion wine, too. Pretty potent stuff...

Well maybe it's the fact that the idea of an elf drunk is so irresistible...

Why to vote Dain? I see no reason.

Rune Son of Bjarne 12-21-2005 08:08 AM

I like Galion and voting for Dain is the only way to save him, I will continue to do so until the choise is between Galion and someone I like even more.

Let me provide you with some.

Offence 1-spurring on his fellow Dwarves into merciless and homicidal wars against Goblins guilty of nothing worse than minor graffiti on a cadet member of a Dwarven Royal house's scalp.

Offence 2-Immediate seizure of throne of Iron Hills. Transformation of said kingdom into military machine with evil expansionist aims.

Offence 3-Contrary to the Rivendell Laws of Middle-earthian Rights, bearing arms with intent to attack the keepers of various protected nature reserves (Mirkwood, Esgaroth etc)

Offence 4-Arranging death of superior cousin (Thorin killed by Goblins? Likely story) to obtain throne and hoarded wealth. Hence "Kinslayer".

Offence 5-Entering into diplomacy with an emissary of a rogue state, namely Mordor

The list goes on and on...

Elu Ancalime 12-21-2005 08:47 AM

Anguirel finally has shown us the truth!

++Dain

Drunk elves are still funny!

Anguirel 12-21-2005 08:49 AM

I appreciate the compliment, Elu old chap.

By the way, put two pluses and bold your vote like so, ++VOTE FOR DAIN, so Glirdan can see it a bit more easily. We wouldn't want such an astute choice to go uncounted...

There is a difference between enjoying the experience oneself and having to watch some insufferable Elvish buffoon enjoying it every night on the telly. :rolleyes:

It actually doesn't bother me one bit. I am quite happy to keep voting for Galion day after day, as it saves me the bother of having to think of someone else to vote for. So by all means, feel free to keep voting off these characters that I couldn't care less about in order to maintain the drunken butler's presence. :p

mormegil 12-21-2005 09:11 AM

Anguirel seems to be quite the dwarf hater. His racist motives cannot be hidden! While I am no fan of Dain he has pushed his anti-dwarf campaign just about far enough. Now I ask him why not go for other dwarves such as Thror or Thrain?

I will continue my assault, though futile it may be.

++Beorn

Anguirel 12-21-2005 09:11 AM

The problem being when we come to the characters you do care about. I long for the day when I shall roast hairy feet, manic cackle, manic cackle...

morm has just effectively said:

1. "Anguirel hates Dwarves! He's a racist!"

2. "Oh look! There are some Dwarves Anguirel doesn't hate!"

I don't really know what he means to achieve by that. He's not making any sense. He must be tired, poor chap. Somebody give him a bottle of Dorwinion...

Captain Grishnahk 12-21-2005 09:22 AM

I'm with Morm...

++ Beorn

mormegil 12-21-2005 09:23 AM

What it means is that you are a dwarf hater, undoubtedly, however there are two dwarves who, oddly, you like. If you are so intent on thinning the dwarf populous why not go for those two? Also I wanted to point out to those 'enemies' you have made who they can go for to exact revenge :p

Surely I don't have to answer that.

Because I like them, obviously!

An amusing Dwarf like Bombur or Kili, or a genuinely cool one like Thrain or Thror, is free to frolic in my book, but a cousin-culling caterpillar like Dain deserves everything he gets...

Elu Ancalime 12-21-2005 09:35 AM

Whatever. Im backing Ang on the 'Dwarf genocide,' as some extremists may put it. Havnt you seen the Dwarf clan totally turn the Island into a factory? But this always happens in ME. Dwarves have been on a path of ecological devestation, such as the East Bight, might i add, was not from the men of Rhovainion, and perhaps, the merciless hunting and capturing of endangered species, such as cold-drakes? Dwarves are like Sauruman, they have a mind of wheels and metal, and they are only turning our loved Middle-Earth into a incinerator for lumber.
Not to be a hippie, but down with the tree killers!!!!

i think in time the once thought great leaders of dwarves will realize their evil capitalist empire is falling, and will either surrendur themselves off the island, or go down in the flames of their own forge.

Being a great afficionado of The Hobbit, I care for just about all of the remaining characters (and a fair few who have gone already). So, while there's not much I can do to save all of them, it does mean that my chances of backing the winner are pretty good. Heck, I wouldn't even object if the drunken butler won. :D

By the way, if anyone is thinking of trying to annoy Anguirel, I would not be averse to voting off Thror and/or Thrain. :p

mormegil 12-21-2005 10:38 AM

Next day I say we start the "annoy Ang" campaign. :D. Far too long now, he has sat in his high tower uncontested, turning the tide hither and thither at his whim and far too often there have been minions to answer his tyrannous summons. I say it is time we strike back. All free peoples of Middle-earth unite under one banner in a great host and overthrow this dark lord of survivor.

AKA- Give him a taste of his own medicine ;)

Kuruharan 12-21-2005 11:39 AM

I'm ashamed of you people, especially those of you who have pretensions toward the demolition of tyrannical and exploitative systems. The greatest tyrant and exploiter (to say nothing of ecological devastator) of them all has yet to receive a single vote.

++ The Necromancer

Think shame for having overlooked him you scallywags and rascals! He's virtually burned down the Island while you've been concentrating on irrelevant characters. I've even heard a rumor that he's going to try and throw the poor *cough* maiden Belladonna Took into the volcano. Such depravity!

He's also sitting squarely in the wrong tribe in an attempt to cheat. He's the biggest Bad Guy of them all!

Tuor of Gondolin 12-21-2005 12:07 PM

Good grief, Charlie Brown! The Necromancer
isn't listed as a bad guy, he's an "other"! :eek:
And what is an "other", Precious?
Is it scrumptiously chewable?
Praps not The Necromancer, but
there are some birds there. :)

See...clearly he joined the "Other" tribe in an attempt to wipe out harmless little woodland creatures in his campaign of environmental destruction.

Formendacil 12-21-2005 01:22 PM

Once again, it seems that I must join with the bandwaggon of the day so as to enjoy the satisfaction of seeing various people jump up and down in irritation at the continued presence of one Galion.

Don't get me wrong: Dain is actually one of my favourite Dwarves, but I play no favourites except the very odd in these games, and so I must keep the Elf I'd rather see gone and remove the Dwarf I rather like.

It's all natural, you know.

As for a trumped-up charge against Dain, in case one is needed, allow me to point out, as has already been done, the fact of his treating with Mordor. That he would even consider handing over Bilbo to Mordor is a serious charge.

I don´t want ANY of those voted for so far to leave, I like them all...except the Necromancer.
So,
++Necromancer

I like Galion, but not enough to sacrifice Dain.

Celuien 12-21-2005 07:54 PM

I would like to vote for the Necromancer, I really would. But, sadly, I shall have to vote for Dain to save the poor, beleaguered Galion. Really, what has he done other than enjoy his wine?

++DAIN

Eonwe 12-21-2005 08:39 PM

Glirdan 12-24-2005 09:00 AM

Ok, I'm here to do a little explaining.n I haven't been on for the past few days because the last few days of schooll have been pretty busy and I had to go out and do Christmas shopping and go visiting people, so I didn't get a chance to post the cast.

I'm also postponing the cast out until the 27th (next Tuesday) so anyone who wants to vote or change there vote can do so within the next few days. Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah and everyone have a great New Year!!! :D

P.S: I can't do the cast out now because I don't have time to do so. I'll talk to everyone one later. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
