Telchar 10-23-2003 04:11 PM

Nope...

Hint: This bad guy was a leader of soldiers

Finwe 10-23-2003 06:20 PM

Mauhur, who the Uruk-hai were expecting to ambush the Rohirrim, but never came because the Rohirrim found him and his Orcs first?

Telchar 10-24-2003 01:09 AM

Good Finwe - Mauhur is correct

And he did come, he just never conected with Ugluks troops before he and his company was destroyd by Eomers men. Plase continue

NightKnight 11-11-2003 12:27 PM

Gil-Galad 11-11-2003 01:54 PM

nope

Gil-Galad 11-12-2003 08:52 AM

woah my bad your right, kinda... its the goblin king of goblin town, but i guess you can still go

NightKnight 11-13-2003 12:21 PM

That was what I meant. Just one thing, they were 15, and not 14 (13 dwarves + Gandalf and Bilbo).

Anyway, who was second in command of Morgul's forces?

Beren87 11-13-2003 02:05 PM

Khamul?

Telchar 11-13-2003 04:40 PM

Gothmog!

edhellen heru 11-13-2003 05:06 PM

souron.

Gil-Galad 11-13-2003 07:54 PM

Souron? who is Souron?

Well even though Telchar is right, i'll say it more precise
Gothmog, LT of Minas Morgul

edhellen heru 11-13-2003 08:53 PM

Oops!! sory I meant "sauron" spelling error.

NightKnight 11-14-2003 04:29 PM

Telchar is right, please continue.

Telchar 11-14-2003 05:47 PM

I guess it's kinda stupid, but...

... this bad guy is big enough to stand up....

Telchar 11-18-2003 01:57 PM

Its not so hard actually!

edhellen heru 11-18-2003 04:16 PM

Balrog?
There are a lot of bad-guys that fit that description.

Telchar 11-18-2003 04:19 PM

Nope.

Though it is a little cryptic, its actually a very straight forward description of the 'bad guy' name or rather the meaning of his name.

Estanesse 11-20-2003 03:59 PM

is it Smaug

Telchar 11-20-2003 04:12 PM

I thought Smaug flew... and didnt 'stand up' - and though I dont think you could call this bad guy a comedian...

Nilpaurion Felagund 11-20-2003 07:48 PM

How about Glaurung?

Telchar 11-21-2003 05:29 PM

A worm that stands up???? come on!??

This guy is really totally super ultra bad!!

Lasgalen 11-22-2003 02:08 AM

Could it be Melkor?

Gil-Galad 11-22-2003 12:42 PM

Dragluin?

Telchar 11-22-2003 04:32 PM

Lasgalen is rigth - but I would love an arguement/explanation ....

Telchar 11-26-2003 06:01 PM

Cant someone tell me why Melkor is "big enough to stand up!" ???

Gil-Galad 11-26-2003 08:46 PM

hes a Valar and Valar are gods compared to the others?

Telchar 11-27-2003 01:32 AM

Nope!

I think we need to continue this thread. Lasgalen had the answer, so he should go on.

What I was looking for was simply the meaning of Melkors name: 'He who arises in Might" - therefore arise=stand up and might=big enough - It was probably too weird...

Estanesse 11-27-2003 04:54 AM

Melkor on who Arises in Might

Sorry I didn't read your post Telchar

As you should be!!! - your punishment MUST be that you come up with a new question!

Estanesse 11-28-2003 06:54 AM

That will teach me

A widow maker I’m called,
Not seen until I strike,
Men who cross me are beyond hope, except one
unconditional love;

Arestevana 11-28-2003 07:35 AM

Shelob?

A widow maker I’m called
Not seen until I strike
Men who cross me are beyond hope, except one-Sam?
unconditional love- Sam for Frodo?

Estanesse 11-28-2003 09:31 AM

Good guess, but nope.

Lasgalen 11-28-2003 03:45 PM

Telchar, I guessed Melkor after you said "This guy is really totally super ultra bad!!" because he was the superest ultraest bad guy I could think of.

Telchar 11-28-2003 03:58 PM

Yes you are right Lasgalen - and I asked for an explanation, which never came. The explanation of/ or show of understanding of the question was essential to me - merely grasping in the dark based on the hints is not enough - sorry. As you can see from My previous posts, you can see that I actually intented you to go on, but Estanesse, with sudden impulse took my breath away - I'll make it up to you ok?

Lasgalen 11-30-2003 03:54 AM

I don't mind Esta going next. Actually I like guessing them better than I like thinking up a question.
