Bah, and "Letters from Father Christmas" is the only minor work I don't have.

Ah, tricky Polar Bear spelling!:D (I was sure you had forgotten an S in "busy")
"Very sorry. Been bizy. Can't find that alphabet. Will look after Christmas and post it." Thank you for posting that quote ; I enjoyed browsing through the delightful Father Christmas Letters again! |
You're absolutely right, Guinevere! I thought that quote sounded so much like P.B. was writing on a forum. :D
|
Thanks, Esty! Perhaps you're too "bizy" for this game right now, but here is another quote:
"-/ -----/ -------/ ---/. ----/ --/ ---------/ -/ ----/ --/ -----/, ---/ ----/ ---/ -/ ---/." |
Again:
Ssssss |
"R"s?
|
RS
"-/ ----r/ -------/ ---/. ----/ --/ ---rs---s/ -/ ----/ --/ -r---/, ---/ ----/ --r/ -/ ---/." |
A
|

|
STAR
"-/ ----r/ ----t--/ ---/. ----/ --/ t--rs-a-s/ -/ -a--/ --/ -r-a-/, a--/ ----/ --r/ a/ ---/." |

|
STARE
"-/ -e-er/ ----te-/ ---/. ----/ --/ t--rs-a-s/ -/ -a-e/ --/ -rea-/, a--/ ----/ --r/ a/ -e-/." |

Well done, The Might ! I'm glad you joined us - there are too few Minor Works fans.
|
Ah, thank you! I do also enjoy the minor works, they have their own charm in my opinion. And I agree, too many people ignore the fact that Tolkien actually wrote other things than M-e related works.
--/ ----/ ---/ ----/ ---/ ---/ ----/ ----/, ---/ -/ --/ -------/ -------/ Have fun, guessing! |
"R"s?
|

RA

Any N's?

-y/ ---e/ -a-/ -een/ ---/ --r/ ---e/ -ay-/, an-/ -/ a- -e---n-/ --rr-e-/. |
Are there any O's?
|
NEAR YO
-y/ ---e/ -a-/ -een/ ---/ -or/ -o-e/ -ay-/, an-/ -/ a- -e---n-/ -orr-e-/. |
"u"s?
|
I am pleased to inform there are no Us NEAR YOU.
Btw, did you say U on purpose so I would get my second word changed from the gangsta version? :D |
"i"s"?
Yo, Might...Just hope Adrian doesn't tell Rocky about youse using yo, Ya know what I mean? Btw, watch for Rocky #26, wherein a 300-year-old Stallone takes on Curufin in a no holds barred match on the plains of Anfauglith. |
EAU de IRONY
-y/ -i-e/ -a-/ -een/ i--/ -or/ -o-e/ -ay-/, an-/ I/ a- -e--in-/ -orrie-/. Yeah, "Rocky" could then maybe equal "Hellraiser" in number of sequels. (ok, that would be only eight though) :D |
About time to solve this one! ;)
"My wife has been ill for some days and I am getting worried." says Parish to Niggle |
Sounds like a comment on the current health situation here in Europe! The flu is making the rounds and had me prostrate for several days - I hope I may have a wee bit of time to join actively in the next round...
|
Indeed correct! :)
Although I must say I have remained healthy for the past months despite the "interesting" weather conditions here in Germany. Bah, Sauerland! (I think Estelyn will know what I mean) :D |
OK, her's a new one:
"---/ ---/ -----/ ---/ --/!" "--/ ---'--/ ---/ ----/ ---/ -------/, ----/ --/ --/ ----/." |
A-bomb
|
