Valinor: The land of the Valar in Aman, beyond the mountains of the Pelori. The place where the 2 trees were.

Vanyar:First kindred of the Eldar to journey from Cuiviénen to Aman.

The Inland Sea of Helcar, where Cuivienen was a bay.

Elves: they first awoke in Cuivienen.

Turgon:Second son of Fingolfin, king of the elves in Gondolin and father of Idril Celebrindal, died in the sack of the city.

Eärendil, son of Tuor and Idril, who recieved the Silmaril and with its power sailed into the Uttermost West and from thence was lifted up into the airs, to sail as a message of hope to the people of Middle-Earth until the Last Battle, Dagor Dagrath.

Elwing: Daughter of Dior, who escaping from Doriath with the with the Silmaril weddedbEarendil at the mouths of Sirion and went with him to Valinor, mother of Elrond and Elros. The name means "Star spray"

Mouths of Sirion:The entrance to the great river, Sirion, of Beleriand and the place where Elwing and Eärendil were married.

Beleriand, once northwestern-most of all lands of ME, but now drowned under the waves of Belegaer after the War of Wrath.

Lindon: A name of Ossiriand in the first age, Lindon was all that remained of the lands west of the blue mountains after the tumults of the first age.

Ered Luin: the Blue Mountains in the far West of Middle Earth after the fall of Beleriand. The Dwarves had many halls here.

Durin I: The eldest of The Seven Fathers of The Dwarves.

Khazad-dum, the Halls of Durin's Folk.

Durin: Lord of the Dwarves of Khazad-Dum (Moria)

Durin's Tower:The Tower on top of the Peak of Celebdil where the battle between Gandalf and the balrog fought.

Carahadras- another one of those mountains

Frodo: Ringbearer. Made a life-changing decision on Caradhras by choosing to go to Moria where Gandalf fell.

Gandalf the Grey - one of the chief Istari, friend of all Free Peoples

Radagast, another of the Istari.

Saruman-the third Istari we know about

Alatar: one of the Blue wizards

Ered Luin: the Blue Mountains.

Dwarves - little short dudes that like gold and jewels and such [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img]

Mithril: a metal that the Dwarves mined in Moria and which led to their downfall.

The Mouth of Sauron-who showed Frodo's mithril coat to the Captains of the West as a token that he had been captured.

The War of the Ring - in which Sauron was finally defeated and after which Middle-earth returned to peace

Arda: another name of Middle-Earth.

Ea: the universe in which Arda was contained.

(Sorry to intererupt, Arda was actually the whole world/planet that Middle-Earth was on, not the continent itself...)

Iluvatar: The One who created Ea and the Ainur.
