Nilpaurion Felagund 03-24-2004 01:20 AM

How many???

Let's see...there's Bill and Tom, and Jerry and Simon, and Peter and Zack...hmmm...less than a thousand?

NightKnight 03-24-2004 01:22 AM

Wasn't it around 500?

Thorongil 03-24-2004 03:13 AM

Nilpaurion is closest. Btw, you dont have to name them all.

luthien-elvenprincess 03-24-2004 09:11 PM

The Armies of the WEst began with 7000; less than 6000 were left to challenge the Black Gate. Some men were left at the Crossroads to guard, others left to fight at Cair Andros.

Thorongil 03-25-2004 12:09 AM

That's what I'm looking for! Go ahead.

luthien-elvenprincess 03-26-2004 08:08 AM

Who was buried by the river Poros after a battle there. What is the name of the mound?

symestreem 03-26-2004 12:32 PM

Wasn't it Folcred and Fastred? They were buried in a single mound, according to the fashion of the Rohirrim; and the mound long kept people enemies from crossing the river. But... I... can't...remember... the name!!!

Three cheers for Google... is it the Haudh in Gwanur?

luthien-elvenprincess 03-26-2004 06:43 PM

:D you are right!

symestreem 03-27-2004 01:58 PM

Name both ways in which Aragorn et al had a claim by blood to the throne of Gondor.

alaklondewen 03-27-2004 02:13 PM

Aragorn was a direct descendant of Isildur, Erendil's son through Arathorn, Aragorn's father. He was also a direct descendant of Arvedui, the last King, through his mother, Gilraen. This would give Aragorn two direct bloodlines to the thrown of Gondor.

symestreem 03-27-2004 03:26 PM

Not quite, but you are halfway there. This is where the "et al" comes in!

NightKnight 03-28-2004 06:54 AM

He was a descendant of Isildur/Elendil, and of Firiel, the daughter of king Ondoher of Gondor.

symestreem 03-28-2004 09:48 AM

And Firiel was the descendant of...?

Thorongil 03-28-2004 09:52 AM

Anarion?

symestreem 03-28-2004 10:07 AM

:D Go ahead.

Thorongil 03-28-2004 10:17 AM

What did the second Boromir do?

NightKnight 03-30-2004 03:06 PM

He drove the orcs out of Ithilien.

The Perky Ent 03-30-2004 09:14 PM

symestreem 04-01-2004 01:17 PM

NightKnight is correct. Boromir of the Nine Walkers was the third of that name. Interestingly, his father was the second Denethor.

NightKnight 04-01-2004 04:11 PM

Who led the Gondorian army they sent to aid Arnor in their last battle?

Gil-Galad 04-01-2004 04:32 PM

symestreem 04-01-2004 07:45 PM

NightKnight 04-02-2004 03:51 AM

Eärnur it was...Symestreem, your turn. :)

symestreem 04-08-2004 08:12 PM

Why did the xth king rule after the x+1th king?

Gil-Galad 04-09-2004 12:47 PM

Which? Gondor or Rohan?

The Perky Ent 04-09-2004 05:51 PM

Is it Eldacar? He was the 19th and 21st king of Gondor. He was the 19th king until the people of gondor didn't like a king with mixed blood and a civil war broke out. Then he killed Castamir, the 20th king and ruled again as the 21st king.

symestreem 04-09-2004 07:42 PM

*nods* Yes.

The Perky Ent 04-09-2004 09:36 PM
