Remove The Master
Why The Master should go. . .
When we look upon The Master as a representative for the bourgeoisie who since the fall of Dale has taken controle over it’s people(now in Laketown). What picture do we get of these people? Well. . . . The bourgeoisie, has in the history of laketown (+ Dale), played a most revolutionary part. The bourgeoisie, wherever it has got the upper hand, has put an end to all feudal, patriarchal, idyllic relations. It has pitilessly torn asunder the motley feudal ties that bound man to his "natural superiors", and has left no other nexus between man and man than naked self-interest, than callous "cash payment". It has drowned out the most heavenly ecstasies of religious fervour, of chivalrous enthusiasm, of philistine sentimentalism, in the icy water of egotistical calculation. It has resolved personal worth into exchange value, and in place of the numberless indefeasible chartered freedoms, has set up that single, unconscionable freedom - Free Trade. In one word, for exploitation, veiled by religious and political illusions, it has substituted naked, shameless, direct, brutal exploitation. The bourgeoisie, has converted the physician, the lawyer, the priest, the poet, the man of science, into its paid wage labourers. The bourgeoisie has torn away from the family its sentimental veil, and has reduced the family relation into a mere money relation. Lets restore Laketown (Dale) to it’s former glory, remove The Master. (I found this on the net and I thought I was fitting as a reply on this thread) |
I am all for saving beorn as he was the best characte rin the hobbit. And now that Bilbo is gone, he is the best cook on the island, they need a break and some good food.
--Galion ++The Master |
not to mention keeping watch into the night against the underhanded sabatage of the Chief Goblin & Co.
|
Er, is this day ever going to end?
It would appear that a rather excessive daylight saving adjustment has severly prejudiced the Master's chances. Typical of the proletarian masses to exploit such circumstances to do away with those who have served them so well in the past. :rolleyes: ;) |
I AM SOOOOO SORRRY!!!! I had no time to get on the computer until now. I will have Day 14's cast out as soon as I tally the votes. Next time, if no one mind's and I don't seem to have it up by an hour after the nomal time, someon go ahead and take over. And once again, the deciding vote is up to me. Heads, Beorn. Tails, Master.
And the loser is.... Tails. The Master is gone. ++The Master |
Day 14
After a lengthy day of scheming and concipirating, the host finally returned after being "ill" for almost twenty four hours. The Master and Beorn were the ones who were greatly considered. However, everyone (except for a few) wanted the cheap, usless Master gone. "He's lazy and steals everyone else's gold and runs off with it!!!" an outraged Bard yelled. "I say out with him!!" That night, the way the accusations flew, no one was surprised at the end result:
Beorn - 6 The Master - 7 Oin - 1 "Fine!! I'm leaving!! You backstabbing scumbags!!!" With that, the others bellowed in rage and jumped on the Master. They tied his hands and feet together, blinded him and brought him to the other side of the island where they threw him off a cliff, where there were sharp, pointy rocks at the bottom. Contestants voted out: Bofur Ori Durin (The first King Under the Mountain) Nori Fundin Gandalf Nain (father of Dain) Bungo Bagins Chief of Guards Thorin Bilbo Golfimbul Carc Gollum The Master The remaining contestants: Dwarves Balin Bifur Bombur Dain Dori Dwalin Fili Gloin Kili Oin Thrain (father of Thorin) Thror (grandsire of Thorin) Men/Elves Bard Beorn Elrond Galion (Elvenking's Butler) Elvenking Girion Bad Guys Azog Bert Bolg Great Goblin Chief Warg Smaug William Tom Others Eagle Lord Roac Necromancer Belladonna Took Bullroarer (Bilbo's great ancestor) Old Took After a two day period (terribly sorry!! :( ) Day 15 starts. VOTE!!! |
++Beorn
He should have been gone already! |
horray!
i say we go after elrond next. he only appears twice in the book to read some runes and to give out red silk pocket handkerchiefs. lame as...well, he's lame...
++Elrond |
Ok, when it comes to a tie, do you want them both gone, or do you want me to flip for it?
|
I know this may seem confusing, but . . .
Let's free the people of Lake Town (Dale) once and for all !
++Bard |
I'm Fat
++ Bombor |
Stop voting for people who have cogent characters, everyone.
Do you want the likes of Bifur and Dwalin, characters who say and do nothing memorable and don't even have the decency to get themselves killed, to win this competition? Then for pity's sake, vote for them! Dwalin today... ++DWALIN |
Ok, I'll accept that argument.
++DWALIN |
Glirdan, in future, I'd like it if ties resulted in two evictions. It deals justice to both warring camps and makes the game progress faster. But that's just my view...
|
Off with the uncogent character (had to look that one up):
++Dwalin |
Today I shall be voting for a grim and dour bore who offers no entertainment value whatsoever and whose contributions to the camp are more than matched by other contestants. What's more, as the man who was responsible for the death of one of the last, quite possibly the last, of the Great Dragons, he clearly has no sense of ecological responsibility and therefore poses a serious threat to the many endangered species which make their home on the island. Finally, his claim to be Lord of Dale was based on nothing more than the fact that he was apparently able to converse with a thrush!
++BARD The man is an utter waste of space. |
I'll buy that arguement Sauce. He is an eliminator of species...sentient species nonetheless.
--Beorn ++BARD |
Away with Dwalin
++ Dwalin |
Okay. DMG:
+ + Dwalin |
We know very little about Dwalin son of Fundin, but what little we know bears out that he is a rather cruel and perverse character.
I am speaking, of course, of the statement that he was a blue beard. Dwalin Bluebeard, or Bluebeard as we know him today, is best remembered for his longtime habit of marrying, and then summarily locking up and killing his wives. In a species as devoid of females as the Dwarven race is, this is a very serious crime. Indeed, one has to wonder if Dwalin's main motivation for joining Thorin's company was the prospect of meeting the Iron Hills Dwarves, and finding a new population of Dwarven females to prey on. It was clearly out of desperation for the family honour that his brother Balin left Erebor in search of Khazad-dum, rather than the prospect of mithril, as rumoured in Rivendell. That Dwalin, Balin's closest kin, remained behind is telling, for the number of females on the expedition must have been few, if any. Away with this pervert! ++ Dwalin Bluebeard, son of Fundin |
I am a fan of dwarfs but when you vote of one of my favorite hobbit character I get mad.

BTW, my vote will be ++Bifur He's mor usless than Dwalin!!! |

++ DWALIN |
I would go with Dwalin. Killing female dwarves is almost genocide! By killing dwarves, we will lose a race that has long made crafts of beauty.
++DWALIN ________ Vaporizer.Org |
Once again, I'm sorry for the lateness of this. I didn't have computer access until today. I'll have the post up shortly.

Day 15
To a few people's great surprise, Dwalin was the one who got the most criticism. "He's useless!!! Useless I say!!" one said. "He's got a BLUE beard!! Even for Dwarves that's not a very common characteristic!!! And he didn't even die to give himself a good reputation!!!" Balin stated. "And Bilbo is gone!! This is for Bilbo!!!" Belladonna yelled!!! That night, the votes weren't surprising, no matter how spaced out they were:
Elrond - 1 Bard - 3 Bombur - 1 Dwalin - 9 Bifur - 1 "So what!? I have to go die to get myself a good name!? If that's what it takes to please you, I will!!!" And before anyone could stop him, Dwalin ran off into the jungle and wasn't seen again. No one knows what happened to him. Some say he fell off a cliff when he was crying, some say he was bit by a poisonous snake. However, everyone did feel that Dwalin, was in fact, dead. Contestants voted out: Bofur Ori Durin (The first King Under the Mountain) Nori Fundin Gandalf Nain (father of Dain) Bungo Bagins Chief of Guards Thorin Bilbo Golfimbul Carc Gollum The Master Dwalin The remaining contestants: Dwarves Balin Bifur Bombur Dain Dori Fili Gloin Kili Oin Thrain (father of Thorin) Thror (grandsire of Thorin) Men/Elves Bard Beorn Elrond Galion (Elvenking's Butler) Elvenking Girion Bad Guys Azog Bert Bolg Great Goblin Chief Warg Smaug William Tom Others Eagle Lord Roac Necromancer Belladonna Took Bullroarer (Bilbo's great ancestor) Old Took It's the start of Day 16. Today's voting will go on until tomorrow night and end at around an hour later than usual, hopefully. I have Christmas concert to perform in and I'm there all night because I play right off the bat and right at the end. Another thing, incase you missed that post. In the case of a tie, I will be eliminating both people, unless it's three. If it's three people or more, it will be the ONE who got the most votes. |
++GREATGOBLIN
I should be the only goblin die any other goblins. |
Biffo the Bear's lease of life is up.
++BIFUR |
I agree with Wayne that there are too many goblins. But I think with Nain gone, it would be justice to send his killer packing too.
++AZOG |
I'll back you on Azog tomorrow if you help with Bifur today...ah, I love dangling carrots...
|
Humph. You and your carrots. I am not to be treated like a donkey, Mr Edgar Allan Jester....and I have much cause to distrust you.
But I suppose this is a relatively unimportant issue on which to test out your claims of new-found honesty. I care little one way or another for this Bifur chap, after all. So, we shall see.... --AZOG ++BIFUR |
Ditch the Dull as Ditchwater Lord of Dale.
++ BARD |
hmm. there are quite a few dwarves left, and as lalaith said, i don't really care one way or another for bifur.
++Bifur |
Lets get rid of the so called Royalty. . . Let's get rid of Bard, he is no king. He is just some freak who used to work in a travelling circus, but wasleft behind by the others when they left Lake Town.
++Bard |
++Bard
Mainly because Beorn will not attract enough votes today, though I'm not sure why we've kept the dim witted shape shifter around us this long. |
Quote:
P.S. Mormegil, what on Earth do you have against Beorn?? |
Hmm. The "B" list. Bifur or Bard?
Bifur is less important, especially on an island (assuming Bard has had some new red arrows made), so: + + Bifur |
