Legate of Amon Lanc 01-28-2008 05:57 AM

Looks like that.

Galathil is:

A) an Elf
B) a Gondorian
C) a tree
D) a metal

Thinlómien 01-28-2008 06:00 AM

Is it C, a tree?
Or is the tree called Galathilion like some weird voice in my head keeps telling me? ;)

Legate of Amon Lanc 01-28-2008 06:05 AM

Your voice is right, C) is not the right answer ;)

But you may try again.

Nerwen 01-28-2008 08:37 AM

Too late!:D

The answer is A) An Elf.

Legate of Amon Lanc 01-28-2008 08:50 AM

Right you are. Do you happen to know what elf he was?

Anyway, take the thread.

Nerwen 01-28-2008 09:03 AM

Yes, he was Celeborn's brother and the father of Nimloth.

Elostirion is the name of

A) A king of Gondor.
B) A tower.
C) An Elf.
D) A city.

Thinlómien 01-28-2008 09:21 AM

B?

Nerwen 01-28-2008 07:31 PM

B) it is.
Your turn.:)

Thinlómien 02-01-2008 03:41 PM

I should never answer these kind of questions as I always have so much trouble coming up with the next question. Anyway, here comes the next one...

Mallos is

A) an Elf-warrior of Gondolin
B) a flower growing in Gondor
C) the name for March in the Elvish calendar
D) the place where Eöl was born

Legate of Amon Lanc 02-01-2008 04:03 PM

Oh my, I'm going to just try. B) ?

Thinlómien 02-02-2008 05:22 AM

:D It was a good try. Your thread. :)

Legate of Amon Lanc 02-02-2008 07:50 AM

Oh yes, just now I even all of a sudden remembered the poem. Anyway, what next...

Celepharn is:

A) A Dúnadan king
B) A Telerin Elf
C) A tree growing on Númenor
D) An Elven feast

Nerwen 02-05-2008 01:26 AM

This is just a guess–

Is it D?

Legate of Amon Lanc 02-05-2008 04:32 AM

No, it is not D).

Nerwen 02-05-2008 05:36 AM

I bet you're feeling pleased with yourself now!

Anyway, it's A) A Dúnadan king.

Legate of Amon Lanc 02-05-2008 05:47 AM

Yes, I am :)

But as you seem to have found it, you can take the thread :)

Nerwen 02-05-2008 07:36 AM

Lindórië was

A) An Elf.
B) A Númenórean.
C) A land.
D) A season.

Legate of Amon Lanc 02-05-2008 07:52 AM

Is it D), a season?

Though I am a little unsure...

Nerwen 02-05-2008 09:02 AM

Nope.

Now I feel pleased with myself!:D

Legate of Amon Lanc 02-05-2008 09:04 AM

Then I think it's C) a land.

If it's not, then you can feel even more pleased with yourself :D

Nerwen 02-05-2008 09:17 AM

I am!:D

Try again.

Legate of Amon Lanc 02-05-2008 09:24 AM

Okay, so I see I am going very wrong way with this one. Let me think.

It does not sound Númenorean. I know I heard it somewhere, but not sure where. And that's the most intriguing on it. If you put there an option E) something else, that's what I would say. But now Númenorean or an Elf? Well I say Elf. But what Elf could this possibly be? It would have to be a nickname, for it sounds strange. Okay, I say Elf. If it's a Númenorean, I'm going to do something...

Nerwen 02-05-2008 09:31 AM

You'll have to do something, then.:p

Now I'm really pleased with myself.:D

The answer is B) A Númenórean. Lindórië was the mother of Inzilbêth.

Legate of Amon Lanc 02-05-2008 09:35 AM

All right, in fact when I posted the last one I thought that it's probably something from Aldarion and Erendis...

Well, now I just have to think of what I'm going to do :)

Anyway, beaten. You have the right to post a new one. :)

Nerwen 02-05-2008 09:40 AM

I beat Legate! Yay!

Actually, she's in the Akallabêth. I agree the name doesn't sound Númenórean– which is of course why I picked it.

I have to go now– I'll post the next one tomorrow.

Of course she is. There's something wrong with me today. Yes, you may try to come up with something similar... I'll be here waiting for it ;)

Nerwen 02-06-2008 04:19 AM

Elendë was

A) An Elf.
B) A King of Númenor.
C) A day in the Elvish calendar.
D) A region of Valinor.

Legate of Amon Lanc 02-06-2008 04:54 AM

C) !

Nerwen 02-06-2008 07:18 AM

Try again.

Legate of Amon Lanc 02-06-2008 07:22 AM

Nooooooooooooooooooo

Okay, erm. (This time I have to do it!) Ennie-minnie-however they do that...

D) !

Nerwen 02-06-2008 07:38 AM

You're in luck.:)

It's another name for Eldamar (so strictly speaking I guess I should have said "A region of Aman").

Your turn!
