Ok folks it looks like we're back round to the question of troops, ie how many each side has?

As for the settlement I was thinking:

50 Archers (Stationed along the main wall)
30 Roquen
100 infantry (Including local volunteers)

Does this sound about right Orual?

That sounds perfectly fine, especially considering that I have no idea what would make a good contingent at a newly-founded settlement.

I think that the numbers for Gondor will deplete quickly, not necessarily because of fatalities but because the still-sane soldiers will realize that it's a losing battle, and they will retreat without Anhelm's order, which they know will come only when Mount Doom freezes over. So eventually the whole settlement will be evacuated thoroughly, and not come back. Anhelm, though, as discussed, will have to be physically dragged out of the settlement.

Sounds okay?

Okay, everybody, the battle's started for real now...feel free to post with fighting or thoughts during the battle. We'll hold off on the climax until Imladris is back, though, so don't start with the climax fights yet.

Ok folks, the settlement is ablaze and the wall is a dusty pile of rubble! :eek: but we managed to destroy at least one catapult, yeah us! :p Astalder is now among the Haradrim ranks killing any and all in his path!;)

The catapults were well out of arrow range, so their destruction as written was impossible. But what's done is done, and it's time for some close quarter fighting, so let's get busy! :)

Sorry I haven't been around lately. I lost my land line at the weekend and for some reason the public terminal that I tried to use to let you guys know of the problem would not let me login to this site *shrugs helplessly* But my service provider now assures me the problem is fixed, Yay!!!

Orual once Immy and Nova are finished with their plans for their characters I think you can finish up with the retreat of the Gondorians. Astalder will be quite forceful in his insistance, assuring the captain that they will return, but with the might of Gondor behind them. ;)

Edit: Ok I have some bad news, as from monday I will have little to no internet access as my computer will be in shop being repaired, we have just discovered the Floppy drive isn't working.
My advice to anyone planning to buy a new computer is Don't!
I miss my old system, it might have been an ancient relic and had a connection sped of a snail but at least it worked! :(

so this may be my last post, I hope you can finish without me!
I just what to say it has been great writing with you guys and I look forward to writing with Imladris and Orual in the soon to be newest addition to Rohan. ;)

This is my first Rohan Game, so I just want to thank you guys! I've been very lucky to game with you, as you are all wonderful writers, and I have enjoyed every bit of it!
