Falling asleep thinking about things in very bad Finnish. Well... Finnish/English hybrid.

Sleepy-Fea: "Stupid snowmobilers. Hän on crazy infuriating drunken mehiläinen."

Aganzir 02-04-2011 05:36 PM

People who study Finnish. ❤

"Tyhmät lumikelkkailijat. Hän on hullu raivostuttava juoppomehiläinen."

I second that. Now that most Downers are on Facebook, the assigned to Mordor/the Shire threads have been neglected. It makes me sad - even though I admit I've done little to remedy the situation.

Pitchwife 02-13-2011 07:40 AM

I assign this adorable little wolf cub, who's keeping me from virtual wolvery these days:

http://up.picr.de/6321530yei.jpg

House-training him, on the other hand, goes to Orthanc. (And no, Mith, he's not available for chinese cooking!:p)

Mithalwen 02-14-2011 02:17 PM

Oh Pitchwife, I am not so bad!!! I may be mainly a cat person but I do like nice dogs.. in fact I am thinking of getting one when I have settled somewhere. http://petside.co.uk/breeds/assets_c...34x250-169.jpg
This is the breed of dog we traditionally keep in my family but they are not cat compatible so it may have to be something else....

Galadriel55 02-20-2011 03:09 PM

Long weekends!

Mith&Pitch: both of the pups are adorable!:Merisu::D

Mithalwen 03-12-2011 12:26 PM

They are very strong willed... "head of a lamb, heart of a lion" :D

Anyhow I assign spring flowers emerging, going somewhere you have always wanted to visit, and finding something you thought was lost (even though it was where it should be and where you had already looked, leading you to think you were losing your marbles).

Galadriel55 03-12-2011 08:43 PM

When you can't think of anything at all to assign to the "Mordor" thread... :D

Or when RL doesn't provide you with anything such!

Mithalwen 03-13-2011 04:39 AM

Galadriel that is very wise. My mother used to say one should be grateful for every uneventful day and when I was young I thought a dull life was a strange thing to show gratitude for, then when life started getting eventful in a bad way I realised how right she was. Like that Chinese curse "May you live in interesting times".

And while I am here I will assign that blessed combination of black coffee and a really good farm shop bacon sandwich. I may have to have a second breakfast...

Bom Tombadillo 04-18-2011 03:44 PM

Hmmm. Tolkien's works (obviously!) and finding other people in real life who read them. People who speak one of the Eldarin languages, whose illustrious ranks I hope to join someday.

Kittens!!! :D (Or at least cats that look like kittens. I have one that never did get around to growing up.)

Mithalwen 04-29-2011 08:37 AM

Drinnking champagne. It really is lovely. Yep I had a nice morning....

Anguirel 04-29-2011 10:49 AM

long live young Prince Eldarion and the beautiful Cathryn of Bucklebury, eh

Mithalwen 04-29-2011 02:38 PM

Well it was possibly the only royal wedding attended by Ents. :D

I assign Greensleeves.

Mithalwen 06-11-2011 12:18 PM

Strawberries - fresh from the field - I went to the PYO this morning and got a huge punnet - and guzzled about half a pound before I got home... :o

That can go for any kind of berries (edible and good-tasting, that is)... Whenever I go berry-picking 2/3 go in my stomach... :D I once told my mother that she doesn't need to supply me with a container, because the best one is my mouth. :p

Galadriel55 06-20-2011 12:40 PM

Pie. Homemade pie. Me and my mother made one out of rhubarb yesterday. It was delicious!

Summer.

Daydreaming.

I prefer apple pie with clotted cream :D Preferably warm, on a crisp, cold winter afternoon. Bliss.

Oh, and a book in my hand would be pretty nice too, while I was eating.

Galadriel55 11-14-2011 11:50 AM

Food in general. When there's lots of it.

PD and PA days in school. I wish there were more of them.

Today. Not yesterday, just today.

UT. And the canon.

Being in a good mood.

Random posts that make me laugh.

Galadriel 11-15-2011 01:03 PM

Finally learning how to cook basic food that keeps me on my feet and provides me with necessary nourishment! :D

And chocolate shops. Always chocolate shops.

Both are definitely Shire-worthy. There are few things in life better than food. Which reminds me of...

I assign the sex life of dwarves. You'd think we had already covered everything there was to say about it but turns out we haven't, as last night proved. Both Lommy and I went to our respective classes very tired. Yes, we like dwarves better than food. ;)

Haha. But why Dwarves in particular?

Galadriel55 11-17-2011 05:19 PM

People who you don't know that see a copy of UT in your hand and say, "Do you also read Tolkien?" I wish such occurances happened more often.

It's never happened to me :(

Because my character in the RPG we're playing is a dwarf. I have no idea why our chats about him almost always turn to sex even though it could be argued that the sex life of dwarves is an oxymoron. Either way it's fun.

Hehe, lol. :D

But what happened to your avvie and Pride Rock? :(

/kidding, I like the new ones ;)

Oddwen 11-18-2011 10:45 PM

Having working heat in your car and nice warm gloves.

Nerdy friends.

Oranges and almonds.

Finding pretty clothes.

Good days.

Inziladun 11-19-2011 07:21 AM

Coffee. With none of that "cream or sugar" nonsense.

I can't remember how long I'd had that avvie (since I've been fairly inactive this year) and at the moment I'm so enamoured by K.J. Bishop's novel that anything else as a location would feel wrong.

Finding's Oddwen's clothes on your floor when you clean up.
(It's your belt. Would you like me to send it to you?)

I assign being done, done, DONE with a project on a politician. It is so relieving. :)

I assign being DONE with any project (but especially on politians, I agree with you).

What's up with people changing their avatars lately? ;) TGEW, I think you're the third this week. If I didn't forget or miss anyone.

If I had to assign being done on a project, I would choose a Maths or Chemistry project.

I assign Maths (more specifically, algebra, geometry, and trigo) and Chemistry. :p I love them! The only thing I really don't like about chemistry is lab reports.

And, since I'm here, I assign a lab that I will do in the near future. My hypothesis is that the school will be demolished by the end of it. :D

(Explanation: it involves more toxic substances and "dangerous" reactions than any other lab we've had so far, and when there are 20 pairs of students who think they know what they are doing messing around with them.......yeah.)

I don't like business, and I like arts. :) I can also ask why does everyone who I get along with know what they'll be doing in a few years (like what majors they'll be taking in Uni), and I don't have the faintest clue?

(Oh, and it's amazing that the school is still standing. We managed to survive with only a small burn on the table. :D)

Aganzir 12-05-2011 06:25 PM

Lying on the couch and being irritating while flatmate and her boyfriend cook for you.
