Compared to most replies here, I am of the First Age.

And apparently as ageless as the Elves.

This site "The Barrow-Downs" is Super.

IMHO, you should never ask a lady her age .

But to answer your question I am a Valier, and that means I am older than The Children of Ilúvatar, and older than the earth.

Any way you don't have to be sad you are young or old. Enjoy being young!! You have a whole life of responsibilities and stress ahead of you. And if you are old, forget your stress and responsibilites, and act like a kid again, no one will be able to tell!!! LOL How is that for an answer? I am thirteen, and have been coming to the "Downs since late last year. Though I primarily frequet the chat room,I have recently discovered the joys of the forum. I am also trying to get involved with RPG on the forum, so if you are a experienced RPGamer with tips to share, please PM me!

Love the site!

(I am not usually this serious with my messages, but for some strange reason, this post sounds very uptite to me. So really, I'm a nice person!)

P.S. RATE ME PLEASE!

You might know me from the chat room, have been there as Veya, Karigan, Artemsia, Sorceress_Veya, and Pippins_Lass. (Whew! There might be more, but these are the main ones.)

13.5, too old for the kids menu, too young to drive.
Bah! I'm 14 and I still order from the kid's menu! Hurrah for small amounts of food!

thalioniathiel 01-21-2003 07:42 PM

I'm 24 and even when I was 23 the hostess would set down a kids menu for me! blah! I don't think I *look* 12!

urrukhai 01-21-2003 10:06 PM

I'm 14. Just on the verge of being old enough to take my driver's test

I am 17 and turn 18 in July.

maikafanawen 01-22-2003 06:51 PM

I'm 14. I tried very hard to think of some Tolkien significance to that and I could only come up with two things: 1) Its the number of the Valar (yes that's minus Melk ... Morgoth), and 2) 13 dwarves, plus one Burglar from The Hobbit equals 14.

Does anyone try to place significance to their age? Or am I alone in my oddity ... it wouldn't be the first time ... *chuckles*

Every time I'm just about to figure out its significance, it goes and increases ...

I doubt she bothered to find the average, as it took a long time. Probably just a guess.
Actually, I did do the math. I believe it was 19.7 at the time. And I will do the math again when more people respond.

Ardwenna 01-23-2003 09:41 PM

I'm not quite sure how old I am. I stopped counting after 350.

Lily Bracegirdle 01-23-2003 10:45 PM

I am of age in the Shire and but for a year would be Frodo to the Professor's Bilbo.

Oh, very sorry Brinniel. I guess I wasn't the only complete bored person!

Brinniel 01-26-2003 03:46 AM

I'm not sure if it was because I was bored. It could've been because I am a perfectionist and I have to get the exact age rather than just estimate it. Strange, since I normally hate math. I suppose I could've been bored, though.

As for my age, I'll never tell! Well, at least not until my birthday comes and I can post an older age. Ha ha, that's not until June 28!
And for all who are that desperate to find my age, you'll just have to search the site. It's buried somewhere. Otherwise, you'll have to keep guessing. :p

King_Elessar 01-26-2003 08:52 AM

I'm young enough to be silly, but old enough to be sensible.
I guess I’m the youngest here, I didn’t know that some people were so much older than me! (Sorry). Ok, here goes, I’m 10. You older people will proberly think I’m just a little kid, but I'm not!
I'm 11 in 9 days.

Bye, Elessar
