Thanks Sleepy!! And it is ok to use animals around you, just no getting them to fetch you things....just remember Eoln is always near and he as well can chat with the wildlife and he may in the future tell the birds to pretend they don't understand you. ;)

Questions about the game dynamics to the revered mods.

As the contestants are now in something like "parties" eg. near each other, will they still face the next day's challenges alone?

It would feel a bit odd, that they make friends during the night and then one at the time perform the same challenges the next day. And wouldn't any reasonable contestant try to use others to help oneself with at least the more challenging problems they face and just try to get rid of any competition later on?

So is something like teamwork allowed?


Another question.

If I know that I'll probably be sleeping and then busy (RL) when the new day begins (GT), can I send my choice of direction beforehand so that when I wake up (RL) I can immediately see the description and think for my questions?

I know it's a little weird to not talk to other players during the day, but remember there can only be one winner. And Eoln is always watching, he would not allow such frivolous chatter during your challenges. You may look at one another during the day and have your own thoughts about other player, but you may not help someone else with their challenge. You can "help" other players by your actions, but you may not talk!!


If you know you will be away at the start of the new day you may pm me your direction choice, but ONLY if you know you will be away, no sending them early for your convenience.

It wouldn't really matter though, because we'd still get the answers back at the same time as the others players.

Shouldn't Day 2 have started by now? When does it begin?

Ok players may pm their direction choice to me early, but I will not send you your scenario until the Day starts. I don't want some players having more time to think up something than the players who sent theirs at Day start.

That was just what I was after: that I could have the answer in time (when the day starts) even if I'm not awake or otherwise able to send mine in that hour. The worst scenario would be that I get to make my PM to you just as you go to sleep and then get the first answer only after my day (RL) has already gone...

That's ok. for me.
(This problem will occur with me every even day of the game as the hour of the new day starting is then during the morning hours and I'll either sleep or get to work)

Nogrod and I are in the same time zone so I'll have the same problem. Just so you know why I'll also probably be sending mine in early. :)

My problem was quite an easy one (the only effective solution is a bit self-evident), but writing it proved to be a real challenge! I hope I have managed to describe the work in a way that can be understood...

If there is something totally weird or ununderstandable, please ask. The basket-thing itself is totally doable in RL, but describing it with broken English seemly isn't. :)

i'm really bringing the game down for everyone, maybe Valier, you should just take me out of the race, before the game started i had loads of time and now all this stuff is coming, i'm trying to come on but i'm always ending up missing something

Gil, if you really want to leave, you can write yourself an out in the game. We understand in life is just keeping you away, but I personally don't feel you're bringing down the game. As Valier said, it's up to you, but we will certainly miss you in the game should you decide to leave.

Just that i've been getting somewhat frustrated lately, increasing pressure with school and work, and this game is really confusing me alot and that is not helping my frustration. usually i would take a couple days but it won't work for this game.


personally i think that i can't really handle this game, its at a certain complexity where i can easily make a mistake and i just get easily frustrated with this game.


i'll have to think about and try to figure things out.

You can complain to me because of my complaints (;)) but it's rather distracting to see the siggies in the game thread, when they obviously (by the rules) shouldn't be there...

So, dear fellow players, (for my sanity if for no other sake) please try to remember to remove them... :p

Oh... I'm so ashamed! :o I forgot. I did write post, but since I had problems with my net access, I saved it to word and decided to post it later and... forgot.

Thin all you need to do for the next day is post the post you wrote and then you will continue moving regularly the next game day.

I too must agree with Lommy and Valier: Please remove your sig from any game posts!! It is distracting. Mind you I'm being hypocritical as I forget to remove from actual RPG's quite often... :o But I'm learning! So, if you don't want to listen to me, listen to the others.

And is it just me or does it seem like Eomer and Valesse are stalking each other?? :p
