Hey now, I make sure I don't spill too much paint on myself, and I have a good smock and pair of pants in case it is anything messy. Ha, ha, cute? The only thing I will say is that you might wish to discuss with Sleepy before you stick a claim to that... ;)

Quote:

clearly your good ol' slightly bohemian painter
Now that, I believe, is quite true. Many a relative I have claims from Bohemia. And yes, the french-made presumption of Boho lifestyle is very true too.

A look of absent-mindedness
Ah splendid, you found one of my ploys. It keeps people generally themselves. I despise too many ladies and gentlemen with masks, it makes one awfully alone at thought and opinion.

Sleepy looks like a young Harrison Ford !
Yes, slightly. From the left side you can definately make a reference with the jaw line and bridge of the nose.

Personally, all the times before and when I have seen him, Sleepy has always looked like Sleepy to me... :p

And thank you for the compliments Farael, not many with thought like yours do I recieve.

Rune looks like a chicken combined with a frog that was half-chewed on by a martian turkey while eating an eclair himself. :)

Ka looks like the girl I love... wait... Ka is the girl I love... :p

I am oh so tempted to illustrate that, but Rune has vowed to give me a social shun if I push the envelope of jokes... ;)

Truly though, Rune could pass as a very good Buzdan Hayaller, independent of mind, a bit of humour and rebellion against the shuns of tradition... Either that or your Marx icon is becoming a rather good decoy.

Ka! I don't think I ever showed you the picture that I made that turned out looking like you!

Or maybe I did. But if not, here it is again, cos I tried to search the thread to check and it just made my computer freeze. :(

the Lady Ka

THE Ka 07-17-2006 10:55 AM

Oh my...!

That is wonderfully close dear, except for the hair colour, but everything else is quite close. Thank you for the portrait my angel of aesthetes, it is beautiful!
You haven't shown me that one before, but I am glad to see it now dear.

Encaitare, you've always looked uncannily like my friend Autumn, especially the fabulous hair.

That was a marvoulus picture, not far from what I had imagined. . . It just lacks the Pilsner Urquell, THE ka always carries around.

Sleepy Ranger 07-17-2006 09:24 PM

Hah! That does look a lot like her. Good job! :)

Glirdan 07-17-2006 09:38 PM

Okay Enca, it's official...you scare me. That's how I pictured her as well... Creepy yet ironic with a tinge of hilarity...for me anyway...

Ha. Ha. Ha...

I enjoy the spirits, and every once in awhile, a good skleněný pivo, but nothing is quite as nice as a well done trochu skleněný vodka. ;)

Na zdraví!

I almost know the trouble. I've got her pegged for a crazed chaos-monger with a kitty named Hissyfit.

Durelin 11-25-2006 05:42 PM

Fea is Miss Elizabeth Bennet.

Don't even ask me why, but I just cannot fully separate the character from her.

makes note to read that and disappears back into academic papers that are far less fun than dark ladying it up.

Orominuialwen 11-29-2006 12:02 AM

Di is a young Dorothy L. Sayers to me, ever since I discovered what a shocking resemblance they bear towards one another.

By Lord Peter...

I knew she looked familiar..and having been a pawn in the cunning plans she produced for her werewolf game I am sure she could contrive devious detective plots too!

Dorothy L. Sayers cropped up in one of the Oxonmoot lectures I attended - apparently Tolkien was a fan in general but hated Gaudy Night !!!!

Was that in the one in the marquee about Tolkien, Women and Oxford?

Diamond18 11-29-2006 10:38 PM

I was wondering why my ears were burning.... I suppose I now know what my future looks like.

Yes.

And diamond... you don't have to go for the chav facelift hairstyle.... ;)

Lalwendë 12-28-2006 11:00 AM

I'm quite a fan of Bill Bryson (I certainly buy all his books and devour them within mere hours), so imagine my surprise when I opened his latest, The Life And Times Of The Thunderbolt Kid to discover something I had not quite realised before. He looks suspiciously like a Downer! ;)

See who you think Bill Bryson reminds you of before scrolling down:

Remarkable...

Celuien 12-28-2006 11:18 AM

Amazing!

I thought of lmp before scrolling down but seeing the pictures together was still startling.

Lalwendë 12-28-2006 11:38 AM

You aren't by any chance from Iowa are you, lmp?

I hope you are not offended or anything by the way!

Hookbill the Goomba 12-28-2006 12:43 PM

You are spot on there Lal!

Come to think of it, you never see LMP and Bill Bryson in the same place at the same time, do you?

Beleg Cuthalion 12-28-2006 08:53 PM

I’m curious, does anyone have a thought of what I look like? (maybe I asked this before though...)

Quite simply, Beleg , you're an ork who has a fascination for yellow leisure suits and drinking tea.

Wow ... I was scrolling up this thread, since for some reason I started reading from the last post and then up... and when I saw LMP's picture and then the other one I thought "Hm... LMP really looks good on a suit" I had no clue that was not him... untill I read what Lal said.

Bęthberry 12-29-2006 01:51 PM

Lal, there's no link to a picture of Bill Bryson in your post. Was it lost or did you intend folks to do a google image search?

Kath 12-29-2006 03:31 PM

Bb the image just comes up on its own. No link necessary. :)

Bęthberry 12-29-2006 04:36 PM

The only image that comes up on my screen, Kath, is the pic which LMP has given us purporting to be him. ;) There's a blank, or rather black, space between it and Lal's text and highlighting produces only a think blue line down the left side.

Not that I don't know what Bryson looks like. It's amazing how facial hair produces such similarities. Well, I suppose the absence of other hair ...

But I"m not surprised. Esty's been parading around as Princess Fiona for her entire time here. ;)

Woot! And looking at your sig, I must assume that I'm the first? I'm quite honored, thank you. :D ;)

The Might 01-15-2007 12:22 PM

Well, I know I haven't been here for so long, so I don't really have any good idea on how people look, though I have come to think that Estelyn Telcontar wears a crown in RL as well. :)

Yes I just made it after seeing your post. But I think I might change it sometime to"weird" insted of "creep". It's more accurate of my mental state (I don't really get creaped out) but anyway. (Continues in a wizardly voice) I'm amazed that your taking this so well, it is not a list to be taking lightly. :p Still you have the "distinction" of being the first.

-EDIT

I just noticed that i miss-spelled creep. Arrrgggggg!!!

Rune Son of Bjarne 05-23-2007 06:18 PM

Bethberry is a small lady, looking kind of fragile. . . .Sh has a semi-long and pointy nose. Her hair is a bit longer than shoulder length and light-brown, her eyes too are brown.

yeah she is probably cheeky as Di mentioned in her dream.

Cheeky? cheeky? moi? As in high cheekbones, high fashion cheekbones? :Merisu:

:D

Edit: Hmmm. Hmmmm. I tried to add that new Merisu smilie, but nothing shows up on my screen. :(

The Might 05-24-2007 01:46 PM

Ah yes, I believe an update is in order.
For anyone who has seen my picture on Tigerlily's site, I don't look like that anymore.
After a long time of thinking, I finally took the decision of cutting my elvishly long hair (really elvish-long)...I'll update the pic sometime soon. :)

Shame! By such a move, you're "breaking the fellowship" of those who have the attitude "let them fly in the breeze and get caught in the trees..." (TM) <= Meant as "trademark", not "The Might".
