Alcarillo 08-11-2005 06:43 PM

:o It was the Grinding Ice.

Nilpaurion Felagund 08-11-2005 07:01 PM

Boy . . .

Why didn't I think of that.

GRIM

I tells ye, ye won't get it! :p

Oh, get off it.

Alcarillo 08-11-2005 10:20 PM

Was it the home of one who fought on the Pelennor Fields?

Orominuialwen 08-12-2005 09:43 AM

I was thinking about this one when I was out of town the past few days...

Did he fail to decieve a Marshal?

Nilpaurion Felagund 08-14-2005 01:09 AM

Alcarillo got it.

It is, indeed, Grimslade.

Your thread. (Uh-oh. ;) )

Nilpaurion Felagund 08-15-2005 08:06 PM

*poke*

Hey, Alcarillo. Your thread. :p

Alcarillo 08-15-2005 09:18 PM

Ow

Okay, okay, I'm here. It starts with an H.

Nilpaurion Felagund 08-15-2005 09:31 PM

So it begins.

Haha! :smokin:

Is it blasphemy translated?

Evisse the Blue 08-16-2005 05:21 AM

Is it the faithful who disobeyed his master?

paavo 08-16-2005 06:54 AM

Was he replaced by a gift from the queen of the reunited kingdom?

NightKnight 08-16-2005 08:26 AM

Was he frozen solid?

Alcarillo 08-16-2005 07:56 PM

So Soon! Gah!

Evisse the Blue has it, with Hunthor as the answer. At least, I can't think of any other faithful fellows who disobeyed their masters and whose names start with an H.

Huan?

Alcarillo 08-17-2005 01:10 PM

Oh.

Anyways, I'm not good at this game and Evisse seems to have gotten closest, and so I bequeath the game to her.

Evisse the Blue 08-23-2005 05:08 AM

Actually I was thinking of Hama :D

Anyways, thank you, Alcarillo. :)

It starts with a W.

Hookbill the Goomba 08-23-2005 05:17 AM

Is it they who watched a great burning?

paavo 08-23-2005 07:50 AM

Did he have too many targets?

Evisse the Blue 08-23-2005 02:16 PM

It's not the Winged Creatures who witnessed the burning of Mt Doom.

Paavo, what's your answer?

Gil-Galad 08-23-2005 03:17 PM

Was it(they) a last resort?

paavo 08-24-2005 08:12 AM

It is Wormtongue who couldn't decide whether to throw the palantir at Saruman or Gandalf, thus missing them both.

Evisse the Blue 08-25-2005 01:43 PM

Wouldn't have guessed it in a century. :p Well done.

Next letter = E.

Gil-Galad 08-25-2005 01:48 PM

Were they Dreadful servants?

Nilpaurion Felagund 08-25-2005 06:38 PM

Is it commonly spoken?

Evisse the Blue 08-26-2005 06:43 AM

Not Werewolves and not Westron.

Hookbill the Goomba 08-26-2005 07:04 AM

Is it where Merry gave a clue to the Wise?

paavo 08-26-2005 07:46 AM

Is it one of three?

Nilpaurion Felagund 08-28-2005 04:30 AM

Is it where the last of its kind was formed?

Orominuialwen 08-29-2005 12:17 PM

Is it not unlike places posessing small annoyances and death?

Dimturiel 09-02-2005 12:15 PM

Guys, Evisse told me she cannot make it to the computer for a few days and she has asked me to continue her game.
So, the answers to your qwestions are:
Is it where Merry gave a clue to the wise? Not Westmarch.
Is it one of the three? Not Weathertop.
Nilp and Orominuialwen, I can think of no answers for your questions, so will you please give me the answers?

Orominuialwen 09-02-2005 03:48 PM

Mine was Wetwang. It is a marsh, like the Midgewater Marshes, which have small, annoying insects, and the Dead Marshes, which obviously have death. Next letter please! :)

Dimturiel 09-03-2005 07:10 AM

Thanks. I guess Evisse is going to torture me to death. Next letter is L

Nilpaurion Felagund 09-04-2005 08:32 PM

Sorry . . .

Mine is Weathertop, where the Last Alliance was formed, sort of. Well, at least the two hosts united there.

EDIT: Oops, I just saw that you already used Weathertop, on a question that's in the same stack as mine. So, what now? Is my question ignored?

Hookbill the Goomba 09-04-2005 11:49 PM

Is it one of many?

Dimturiel 09-05-2005 06:52 AM

You have it, Hookbill, it's Wellinghall.

Hookbill the Goomba 09-05-2005 09:11 AM

Thanks!

The Next word begins with...

P

The Perky Ent 09-05-2005 09:16 AM

Is it one of the fellowship?

Hookbill the Goomba 09-05-2005 09:31 AM

Is it one of the fellowship? Not Pippin

The Perky Ent 09-05-2005 09:38 AM

Is it a city?

Hookbill the Goomba 09-05-2005 09:51 AM

Is it a city? Not Phurunargian The Westron name of Khazad-dûm

The Perky Ent 09-05-2005 09:54 AM

Is it a city?
