I was about to repeat my question (yes, again:)) but Amanaduial was too fast and stole my answer. You evil evil archer. :p :)

Did their tradition survive because of an apprentice?

Amanaduial the archer 07-28-2005 01:49 PM

The 'Evil, Evil Archer' makes her reappearance...

Lol, sorry Paavo ;)

solarisa 07-31-2005 07:43 PM

this is really REALLY confusing...so, sorry to ruin it all, but are u supposed to guess a letter, or the other person tells you clues/? oh well =__= ...

Gil-Galad 07-31-2005 07:48 PM

Maybe read the first post?

Basically we say a question describing a person/place/event/thing and the Questioner has to guess which thing we are getting at, if not, he/she gives another letter and we continue guessing

Orominuialwen 07-31-2005 09:26 PM

Was it the son of a furrier?

Nilpaurion Felagund 08-01-2005 04:08 AM

did he take advantage of his opponents pride? Not Glaurung

paavo 08-01-2005 11:19 AM

Oh my. I have got this all wrong! I have always thought that Glaurung starts with 'Gl' not 'Gr' but apparentely it doesn't. ;)

Nilpaurion Felagund 08-02-2005 03:03 AM

Agh!

So sue me, paavo. :p

paavo 08-02-2005 10:28 AM

Maybe I do. :smokin:

Was he the father of the last of the first?

Nilpaurion Felagund 08-02-2005 10:34 AM

Oh, no, you can't.

The Valar will have not of this suing-Noldorin-princes business.

Was he the father of the last of the first? Not Gram, King of Rohan

paavo 08-02-2005 01:14 PM

Oh yes, I can.

All I have to do is give them some cheap, shiny plastic pearls from the local supermarket and they will be quite happy to give up one ignorant Noldorin prince who doesn't know his place. :p

Could you say it is between Sauron and Gandalf the white?

Nilpaurion Felagund 08-03-2005 12:11 AM

I assure you, you wouldn't want to sue me. The last time someone tried to, he was found later hogtied to some tree, with his Tolkien books missing.

Not that I did that, of course. ;)

Could you say it is between Sauron and Gandalf the white? Not the Great Gate of Minas Tirith

Ps Why do I get the feeling we are the only ones reading this thread? :)

Orominuialwen 08-03-2005 12:50 PM

I read this thread, I just rarely think of questions clever enough to post. ;)

Did the entire Fellowship take part in it in one way or another?

Nilpaurion Felagund 08-03-2005 06:50 PM

I knew you'd see it my way, paavo.

Could you say it is between Sauron and Gandalf the white? Nassty trickssy quesstion. What is your ansswer, precious?

Well that shouldn't be a problem at least when Nilpaurion is the question setter. For him anykind of a question is too much. ;) :p

I am actually a bit ashamed of my answer since it is.. well, dumb. But what wouldn't I do for the next letter. Between Sauron who is known for his darkness/blackness and Gandalf the white there is of course grey, Gandalf's old colour.

Nilpaurion Felagund 08-04-2005 09:11 PM

paavo:

Ugh! The depths you sink to to get that next letter. :p

GRI

paavo 08-06-2005 08:39 AM

Nilpaurion Felagund 08-07-2005 12:25 AM

Would he feel himself cosy in Finland? Who?

paavo 08-07-2005 04:04 AM

Oh dear.. Let us just pretend that I didn't post these two last messages. It seems that you have already answered Grimbeorn once. :o :( *Goes off to slam his head against the wall*

Mettare 08-07-2005 09:41 AM

Did he fight on Pelenor Fields?

Nilpaurion Felagund 08-10-2005 08:56 PM

Was he the unluckier of the two? Not Grithnir
Did he fight on Pelenor Fields? I already said Grimbold. If you have another answer, then go ahead.

Oh, vy ze vay, my answer is not in the Encylopedia of Arda. So if you're using it, :p .

Alcarillo 08-10-2005 11:42 PM

I'll try my hand at this . . .

Was it an obstacle to a great host of Elves?

Nilpaurion Felagund 08-11-2005 02:16 AM

Welcome, Alcarillo!

Was it an obstacle to a great host of Elves? Uh, you got me there.

Alcarillo 08-11-2005 12:03 PM

Great to be here

Was it grinding and cold and where the sea narrowed?

Nilpaurion Felagund 08-11-2005 06:42 PM

Ummm . . . Alcarillo:
