Can I put my name down provisionally? I promise will give way to people who haven't modded so much :D

I never believe tp. Force of habit.

Not in the BD, but on MSN very often. If you wish me to inform him of something, PM me and I'll let him know via MSN if I get to be online the same time with him. (Which is not very rare.)

Sleepy Ranger 06-19-2006 05:59 AM

Just checking in. I'm still around, if anybody needs me drop me a PM or talk to me on MSN/AIM. Football has me busy, y'see and also I went ahead and got myself injured but that wasn't my fault...

So Glirdy, what can I do for you?

Valier 06-19-2006 03:34 PM

So has anyone pmed Samwise yet? I missed out on Cailin's game and I am Hankerin' for another go at WW. If Samwise is not around perhaps Glirdan you could do your game and then Sam can go after you. Are you ready to go yet on your game Glirdan?:)

Kath 06-19-2006 04:46 PM

Maybe you should see if Eomer can get hold of Samwise?

Valier 06-19-2006 05:27 PM

I have pmed Eomer about contacting Samwise. Hopefully he can start his game soon or else pass his place to someone else.:D :)

Glirdan 06-19-2006 07:29 PM

Valier, my game is still in the planning buisness. However, if I need to, I can start the signing up. But it might not be until closer to when Cailin's game is over.

Sleepy, I need to know if you have the time to help with the backup modding. If not, I can get someone else to help instead.

Eomer of the Rohirrim 06-20-2006 08:46 AM

Samwise is very busy indeed these days (new job; getting married; moving house). I know he'd love to mod a game sometime, but until he comes back to the Downs I would just go to the next name on the list. :)

Sleepy Ranger 06-20-2006 10:05 AM

Yeah, I have the time. :)

The Saucepan Man 06-20-2006 10:07 AM

Given the rude intrusion of RL upon Samwise ( ;) ) and the fact that Glirdan's game is still in the planning stage, I suggest that Valier goes ahead with her game.

That also seems fairest to me on the basis that Glirdan has already modded a game, whereas Valier hasn't yet.

JennyHallu 06-20-2006 10:12 AM

(actually she has (werecats) but it's all good)

Oh yes, forgot about that one. Sorry.

Is there anyone who has previously expressed a desire to mod, who has not modded a game yet and who is ready to start recruiting? I do think it fairer to give preference to those who have not yet modded.

If not, then I suggest Valier should go ahead anyway if she's ready to start right away.

Diamond18 06-20-2006 11:48 AM

Um... sorry if I'm mistaken, but where did the idea that Valier wanted to mod next come from? She said she wanted another go at WW but I think she meant playing. Mith was the one who volunteered to mod should no "new" mods be ready to take the helm.

I don't believe Valesse has modded, and she's on the list. Valesse, are you ready to mod?

Valier 06-20-2006 11:52 AM

Actually I think it's Valesse's turn after Glirdan. I really didn't have it in mind that I would mod a game, I just wanted to play in one. Since I have modded a game before someone else can go if they are ready and willing. I would like to do a revenge of the Werecats soon, but I have not come up with anything concrete yet as to the story line. If Glirdan will be awhile with his planning yet maybe Valesse would like to jump on in. If noone is ready though I am sure I could whip something up if people want to play right away. Oh and thank you for the vote of confidence Saucepanman!:)

Mithalwen 06-20-2006 12:03 PM

I don't want to mod immediately - I have far too much planning to do - I just wanted to go on the list after Samwise, Glirdan, Valesse because it took about 3 months to get a slot last time.... I meant that having modded twice already I would be prepared to let a new moderator queue jump...

Gil-Galad 06-20-2006 01:56 PM

If you need a back-up mod let me know, exams are almost over for me so i'll be having free time.

Glirdan 06-20-2006 03:06 PM

Okay, I'm going to let everyone know where I stand right now. But first....

Sleepy, glad to know that you can help. So, if you can respond to that PM I sent you a few weeks back... :D

Gil, thanks for offering.

Anyway, back to letting everyone know where I stand... Exams are this week, so, until Tuesday, I have very limited time. However, I am quite willing to start the game ASAP. However, this means I will have to withdraw from Cailin's game... Wow, I'm in a predicament.

Okay, proposition. The day I die in Cailin's game, if Samewise has not returned (which wouldn't be the best thing for me [you'll all see why later]) I will start my game. This gives me time to continue planning and start the actual thread up.

How is that?

However, if someone else (coughValessecough ;) ) is ready to go, then I am quite willing to step down. Besides, my game is actually going to take a little time to get up on it's feet.

Valesse 06-20-2006 04:25 PM

As a procrastinator I can honestly say "I work best under pressure"... I swear its true!

I can moderate the next up coming game. However I do not have a back-up mod yet *eyes Mith and Gil*, but thats an easy thing to sort out.

It is to be stated that this game is going to be in the original style (dry, barebone) 1 seer, 3 wolves (if there are enough players), and a gaggle of villagers. I'm willing to start ASAP once the *eyes Mith and Gil* back-up mod is ready.

besides.. Glirdan sounds sick. He should take some time off :p

You are most welcome. Even if it was placed in error (but no less well-deserved for it). :D

That sounds the best plan all round to me. Although I've probably made another blunder somewhere along the line, so I'll just leave you folks to sort it out ...

Me? Sick!? Never!! Well, sick of stress maybe...but that's another rant for another time. Anyway, thanks for stepping up Valesse. Just to let everyone know, I am willing to mod after Valesse if Samewise is not back. If he is, I'll wait.

oh we do :p

Well if you need any backup Mod let me know, also if you run short of them i'm also free.

Valesse 06-21-2006 10:17 AM

Nah, don't worry about it Saucy. I have a twin sister so I'm used to it. :p

I believe I'm ready to enlist players! However...in the case that I'm missing something and should wait until another game ends to do so... this post is a figment of your imagination.

If anyone is interested please let me know! (also your career and instrument of choice).

Valier 06-21-2006 10:25 AM

May I ask what kind of career? Should our job go with our instrument? or do we just play in our spare time?

Valesse 06-21-2006 10:28 AM

The career does not have to relate to music or the instrument you decide on.

Valier 06-21-2006 10:32 AM

So you don't mind silly jobs? and do you have any idea as to what time day and night will start? I will be slightly busy the last week or so of this month, so I hope noone will mind but I may not be able to use my Valier style campaigns this time. I am 2-0 and I am afraid I may not make it 3-0 this time so just to keep that in mind...:D

Valesse 06-21-2006 10:44 AM

Silly jobs welcome if not encouraged, as it is a silly theme.

I'm still trying to think about what time would be best for the day-night/night-day translations, but it looks like 1 PM eastern will be it unless there are any conflictions. It'll be made clear before the game starts.

Valier 06-21-2006 10:52 AM

Alright! well you know I'm in!! I shall be the towns pickler (I pickle everything from apples to zebras, well maybe not zebras...but pretty much everything)who plays the Piccolo:p

Also if you start at 1pm est is that 2pm cst? if so that's fine with me.

Roa_Aoife 06-21-2006 11:24 AM

Okay, definitely sign me up for this one.

It'll be nice to play in a bare bones game.

My intsrument shall be the double necked electric guitar!

And.... hm... I need an awesome job to go with an awesome instrument...

TRICK PILOT! WHEEEEE!

Macalaure 06-22-2006 03:51 AM

I'll be joining this one, too - if you want me.

My occupation shall be.. um... well,.. hang on.. sigh

an unskilled inventor of funny fake occupation ideas - on the verge of bancruptcy

And I play the tuba. :)

Mithalwen 06-22-2006 11:51 AM

Being a glutton for punishment....

I am playing now instead of co-modding. I shall be a viola player - the traditional butt of orchestral musicians' jokes (please note....one of my best friends is a Viola player and I know they aren't really stupid!) but in the best tradition of werewolf game I shall embrace the prejudice and be crazy as well - my profession shall be cat-herd....

Gil-Galad 06-22-2006 03:41 PM

well if Mith is playing then i tak it that i will be Co-Mod as Valesse has stated in her PM to me... funtime

Valesse 06-23-2006 08:39 PM

Yep. Thats the plan.

However there are some problems. .. First, the day-night transition time will have to be pushed back three hours. This would mean that the deadline is 4 PM EST as compared to what it was previously, 1 PM.

Secondly, I will not be able to use the internet between July 9 to July 14th because I will be teaching crafts for a charity camp/school. That leaves a two week window we have now for this game to rock and rock hard which it can.

*sigh* I wish it didn't have to be that cramped. But thats what it is.

JennyHallu 06-25-2006 08:05 AM

I'll play, fresh from a disastrous attempt at Hunter...

I'll be a street-corner doomsayer who plays the Aeolian Wind Harp.

Valier 06-27-2006 12:28 PM

*sigh* Well it doesn't look like your game Valesse will be starting anytime soon! With only five players so far this may take awhile and if Val you cannot mod until after the 14 that really sucks!:( Perhaps a few people who have died in Cailin's game will want to join...

How many people would you need Val? If we get enough soon we can play a quick, no frills game. I so need a WW fix! :p

We could play a game with as little as ten people and it would still be interesting. Considering the timing that might actually be better. I'm sorry this isn't at all what I had hoped it would be. :(

Mithalwen 06-27-2006 01:53 PM

Well there is still time ..... I don't suppose there is any way of shortening the nights if necessary.... ? doing the 24/12 thing .... but with wolves potentially in very different timezones maybe not....

However if you would prefer to wait and have a game according to what you planned when the time isn't such a pressure I am sure we would all understand.

Few games go the distance ........we have 16 days til deadline so you could still get a 13 player game.... or if you get more players then youcould allow double lynchings which would almost certainly get things over quicker...

Nogrod 06-27-2006 04:06 PM

Two subsequent games without playing oneself is just too much!

So I'm in too. But regrettably only for a game that is played somewhat now (I will be without a net access something like 16th to 20th of July).

Let's try a fast build up and a game? How many would we still need? Some PM's and Cailín drop-outs could make it?

Valier 06-27-2006 05:04 PM

Players so far...

Valier>>Town Pickler>>Piccolo
Roa_Aoife>>Trick pilot>>double-necked electric guitar
Macalaure>>unskilled inventor of funny fake occupation ideas, on the verge of bankruptcy>>Tuba
Mithalwen>>Cat-herder>>Viola
JennyHallu>>street corner doomsayer>>Aeolian wind harp
Nogrod>>?>>?

So if we can double the players we have now, we would be set to go right?:)

I'm considering what I know about the players (yes, I'm the stalker who sent you the flowers  ) it would be fairly easy to do a 24/12 hour game. I'm contacting those from Cailín's game now because so long without werewolf is a crime, and I'm sorry to have kept everyone of you waiting so long and have to make such a short game.
