Cute pics, Brinn - all of them. :D I especially like the one with you and Kath, you look awfully funny. ;)

Legate of Amon Lanc 06-06-2008 12:15 AM

Ha, so at last shown to the wide public. But nice pics, Brinn! The ice bar one seems probably the funniest to me - it looks like you two are in your own kitchen in your house on the North Pole or something :D

Oddwen 06-06-2008 08:27 AM

Lovely pictures of lovely people - I also make the observation that you, Brinniel, are the shortest in each pic. :p

Ha ha, the snowmen of Forochel...or restaurant owners. I'd like to order an ice cube omelette, please. :D

Funny? Is that because we're tipsy? But surely...what else can you expect when Kath owns a tavern? We do make a cute couple, though. ;)

(Haha, okay okay....enough with the DW jokes....)

Oh crap....our secret's been discovered. How did you figure it out?

Am I really? I could've sworn I was at least taller than tgwbs...

Well you know, before I first met Rune I told him that if he had trouble spotting me at the airport all he had to do was look down. :p

Pfft, might as well have owned that tavern we payed for so little of what we drank. But I repeat Brinn's question to Lommy ... funny how?

It might be for that tipsyness (tipsiness? is that a word? and if it is, how is it spelled? spelt? aaargh, English is not my strongest point tonight, it seems) Brinn mentioned. :D But you look very cute too, maybe it's the perspective - you look very small and besides you look genuinely happy/ be enjoying yourselves, and that tends to make people look cute (and funny :p).

Kath 06-06-2008 05:58 PM

I think you can have tipsyness (and it would be spelt with the y). Haha, maybe you're right. We were having a good time! :D

Eomer of the Rohirrim 06-09-2008 05:45 AM

The pic is funny because, when you look at the Barrow-Downs photo page, in the thumbnail, it doesn't show Brinn & Kath, but the two randoms in the background. :D

Nilpaurion Felagund 06-09-2008 07:40 AM

Kath, I see you've been maintaining that Everlasting Whiteness. :p

I have very little choice about that!

satansaloser2005 06-09-2008 10:42 PM

Aw, nice pics Brinn (and co.). Very nice! :)

Heh. Someone almost as white as me. Whaddya know.

Diamond18 06-09-2008 11:16 PM

I loathe the picture that's up of me... I think it may be close to three years old, too, so it needs to go. But what to replace it with. Could go for realistic or artsy(er).

Just because you are so tough that you go out in the snow with bare arms... next you will claim you were barefoot ;)

Been there done that. When it's very cold, snow on the bare foot feels like sand. Running in the snow with just shorts makes you feel like your heart is going to explode.

Very cool pictures, Brinniel.

Diamond18 06-10-2008 12:32 PM

It was balmy that day. It was Easter, and we'd had a blizzard on Good Friday, but in true Wisconsin fashion it was warm enough for short sleeves just a mere two days down the line.

Haha know the feeling. I've walked around in December with flipflops before.

Nice pics by the way, Di. My avatar is my picture because I'm too lazy to do anything else. ;) And I'm not at all photogenic, so I generally hate pictures.

First of all, I walk around all winter in Alaska wearing crocs or going barefoot, sometimes during firedrill at school I run through a foot of snow almost barefooted (It's all my secret plot to become a hobbit, I'm already starting to grow hair on my feet!)... I don't wear a coat unless it is below 10 degrees Fahrenheit and wear t-shirts every day...

Anyway, I thought that your avatar was a self portrait, it looks kinda like one of my cousins self portraits...

Nope! I've never been in the Downer. :p

So...I finally figured out why McCaber's photo feels so familiar. Does anybody watch Heroes?

Hookbil, if you're reading this, we simply MUST have a photoshopped picture of McCaber in a cheerleading outfit.

Brinn and Rune (and Gondor) needs no photoshopping.

:p

I'm pretty sure my computer wouldn't allow me to do this. It would probably melt.

Anyway... Here is a failed attempt at a forced perspective thing with a model TARDIS... I want to try again but I happen to be lazy...

Good for your computer. It would save me the trouble.

Ah, loving all those pictures.

The four of you at Oxford - it's the hobbits with Pippin having taken a HUGE overdose of ent-draught.

Lovely picture, Hookbill! But I thought TARDIS was red... but I have not watched Dr. Who in a long time... I could be mistaken.

:eek::eek:Nope. The TARDIS is definitely blue. "Big Blue Box" and that sort of stuff.

Entirely mistaken I'm afraid, the TARDIS is definitely blue.

By the way Brinn, that picture in the 'Downer reminded me, but in that one with Rune you do look ridiculously pleased to be there. I'm not sure if it's the company or the alcohol though. :D

Goodness, do I really look that funny? And I'll have you know that that was my first drink of the night. And I know I have that 'deer caught in the headlights' look...it doesn't help that I had really bad red-eye (I fixed it some on the computer, but it only works so much).

My name is Brinniel and I've been sober for 38 days. :D

Here's a picture of me doing the 'Bob Dylan' thing at a local pub. Hmmm...no, actually, it was more likely a blues number (perhaps John Mayall's Room to Move), as I'm playing the harp through a Sure Green Bullet (the round, green mic to the right in the pic), which, when fed through an old tube amp, gives a wonderfully distorted, fuzzy sound.

Groin Redbeard 06-17-2008 11:32 AM

Wow, you're a musician! Do you really play all those instruments that are hooked up to you? :)

What, you mean my musical catheters? ;)

Yes, I play multiple instruments, but rely mainly on guitar and harmonica. Actually, if you could see the floor at my feet, you'd also notice six or seven foot pedals as well (for various sound effects). It's all rather electronically mesmerizing. I guess I'm just lucky they haven't figured out a way to hook me up intravenously while playing.

What is this "Dr. Who" of which you speak? Are you perhaps referring to the television show "Doctor Who?" Red tardis...Dr. Who...maybe you've been exposed to some kind of twisted parody on the real thing...

;):p (I jest, I jest.)

My bad...:o

TheGreatElvenWarrior 06-27-2008 03:37 PM

I don't know if this will work or not (you might have to have a Facebook), but I uploaded some pictures onto Facebook, they are too big to put on the Downs...:(

Volo 06-27-2008 04:07 PM

There's nothing too big to be put on the Downs.

Oh dear, who will clean up the mess?:p Certainly not me.

The problem with my pictures is that not neccisarily, they were too big, but the size of the file needed to be unde a certain amount of KB and MB, but they weren't:rolleyes:...

You cannot include too big files in your post, but you can email the pic to Volo, who will put it on the photo page.
