Excellent once again, Guinevere! And correct, of course. Pray proceed.

Guinevere 11-26-2005 02:10 PM

Thank you, Esty. :)

"m"s?

Estelyn Telcontar 11-29-2005 02:58 PM

Finally! When I had the first word, the rest was not hard to find.
Quote:

Alarming, you might call it; but a silly dream, when you come to think of it.
Nokes, speaking to anyone who would listen about his encounter with the King of Faery in Smith of Wootton Major.

Guinevere 11-29-2005 03:37 PM

Yes, that's it! :)

Estelyn Telcontar 11-29-2005 03:58 PM

Here's a good reminder for us forum members:

You'd forgotten Barrow-wight dwelling in the old mound
up there on hill-top with the ring of stones round.

The Barrow-wight to Tom Bombadil .

(You have used that quote before, Esty , in July, to be precise. :D )

Estelyn Telcontar 12-01-2005 03:03 AM

You're right on both counts! Must be some mysterious influence trying to repeat a message - or it's just my forgetfulness... Go ahead with a new one!

Guinevere 12-01-2005 10:20 AM

:) I think I remember the quotes I found out better than the ones I posted...
How long can we go on before we run out of suitable quotes, I wonder?

"-----/ ---/ -----/, ----/!" (....) "--'--/ ----/ ---/ ---/ ----/ --/ ---/ -------/."

Estelyn Telcontar 12-01-2005 10:30 AM

We may have to change the rules and use normal sentences instead of direct speech quotes; there are works that have no direct speech at all - several of the Tom Bombadil poems, for example.

And now for something completely different...

W, please!

Guinevere 12-01-2005 10:44 AM

"-----/ ---/ w----/, ----/!" (....) "W-'--/ ----/ ---/ ---/ w---/ --/ ---/ -------/."

Estelyn Telcontar 12-01-2005 10:49 AM

R 2 (without D2) please.
