Is the younger the master of the wisest?

paavo 03-09-2005 10:49 AM

Is it one of the three?

EDIT: oops. Now this is embarrassing... The answer for my question does not start with MAS. Sorry for any inconvenience. :(

Firefoot 03-13-2005 04:22 PM

Is the younger the master of the wisest? No

Erm.

I'm going to have to call you on that, Nil. (I didn't think there were that many options left for MAS, but you would go for the obscurest reference you could find...) ;)

Nilpaurion Felagund 03-13-2005 07:03 PM

Hehe!

My answer is Masters of Spirits, with Lórien (the younger) as the master of Olórin (the wisest).

Next letter!

Erm, I didn't realise (until now, that is) that you answered this question of mine:
Quote:

Is it in the danger of disappearing? (Me)
I meant this thread. ;)

Firefoot 03-13-2005 08:24 PM

Well, shoot, I even looked at Gandalf being the "wisest".

As for that other question, well, no wonder I couldn't find a truly plausible answer! ;)

MAST.

(But I suppose that doesn't tell a whole lot; most of the MAS's are also MAST's). ;)

Nilpaurion Felagund 03-13-2005 08:36 PM

Is it a gardener-turned-Elf warrior?

Firefoot 03-13-2005 09:16 PM

Firefoot 04-02-2005 08:28 AM

Is it a sobriquet Merry received in Rohan? Not Master Bag
is it a title found near the area of the home of the one who squeezed through a hole? Alright... what's your answer?

paavo 04-02-2005 08:36 AM

Finally... :)

The answer is master of lake-town, the title given to the leader of the lake-men who lived on the Long lake, not far from Erebor inhabited by Smaug whose name mean "'squeezed through a hole". Next letter please :p

Firefoot 04-02-2005 08:46 AM

Well, I'm afraid I can't give you the next answer - Master of Lake-town was it! Good job. :)

I did not know about that meaning of Smaug - I guess you learn something new every day.

paavo 04-02-2005 02:28 PM

Thank you :)

Instead of several lines of vain and idle babbling which would take minutes and minutes for all of you to read before getting to the actual point if ever getting there I will instead say right away the beginning letter so that the game can again start without delay and futile inconcience in the form of losing time... ;)

Starts with N

Firefoot 04-02-2005 02:43 PM

Is it one whose doom was wrapped up in its master?

paavo 04-02-2005 03:10 PM

Now this doesn't sound too good... If your answer is the one I think it is this is proving to be the shortest game yet. What is your answer?

Firefoot 04-02-2005 04:42 PM

Niniel, whose doom was wrapped up in Turin's, the Master of Doom

paavo 04-03-2005 06:17 AM

Now this is scary. Are you a mind reader or something? My answer was Niniel, You got the thread with your first question. :) I can't say anything else than well done.

Firefoot 04-03-2005 09:51 AM

Cool.

And here I thought maybe I was done with this game for a while... ;)

Thanks.

F.
