I apologise for my absence but it has been a long week filled with many obstacles. Some were personal problems, I was also sick with flue and my computer has been down. I apologise again! My post will be up tonight. Till then enjoy your day,

The Hobbits are now starting to gather at Tom's house to leave.

As Nilly has suggested - can everyone please do a next morning post - say your good-byes and get from your Hobbit hole to Tom's house. We can take off from there.

Please do not wait until Nilly posts on Thursday to do this.

Once she has posted, then we can take off for Bree.

I'm sorry that it took so long before I got to fill my save on the first page. (Party post) I haven't had computer access for the last couple of days, so therefore I was delayed.

Anyway, I've filled it now, and I'll be writing a "morning post" now.

Game Plot… I hope it is ok. If any of you have problems with it or would like to add anything please feel free to PM me.

1.) First Meeting (DONE)


2.) Dwarves warn the group (DONE)

• Ivy Burrows (ElenCala Isil) finds out from dwarves about the hungry Orc troops and Wargs, she then tells Melody.
• Other player’s posts can be about feelings and worry. You could be excited, nervous, scared anything really.

3.) Emergency meeting (DONE)

• Ivy and Melody call an emergency meeting but no one knows what this meeting is about (not even Tom).
• So I will need posts about this. How are you feeling about this sudden change. I will need arguments too. Whether or not to go on the journey at all.
• Then at this meeting it is decided that they will set out to Bree instead.

4.) Going Away Party (DONE)

• The night before the hobbits set out family and loved ones will throw a small farewell party. Only small because of food supplies.

5.) Hobbits set out to Bree - We are now all meeting at Tom's house and will soon be off


6.) Journey There

• Being followed by Wargs.
• Other dangers can be made up on the way there.

7.) The Arrival at Bree

• Collect food and other needed supplies.

8.) Set out from Bree

• Now remember they have wagons of food, which will weigh them down. Maybe we could have posts of complaints etc.

9.) Spotting of Orcs


10.) The Orc Battle

• Many will die.
• Only a few will survive.

11.) Home sweet home

• The few survivors make it home with the needed supplies so it’s a bittersweet arrival.

Other posters can also use them as needed. One of them will probably be the first casualty of the journey. :( . . . sniff! . . .

It might be nice if one of the other characters would bring a small wagon along. I’ve left a lead-in for that in my last post.

By Saturday we need to be well on the way to Bree, as the game, which opened on 1/16, was scheduled to run 10 weeks, and on 2/20 we will be five weeks into it.

ON THE ROAD TO BYWATER
 

Just a reminder to the players:

The game was opened on 1/16 and was scheduled to run 10 weeks.

We are now 5 weeks along today.

So, I have gotten us on the way north to Bywater and the Green Dragon Inn, where we can spend a night – resting and gathering news about conditions on the Great East Road which the group will take into Bree.

The snow has stopped for the day, and the sun has come out. The dirt road from Tuckburrough to Bywater will still be snowy, but melting a bit as the day goes on. There are iced over ruts in the road, and as the group moves along someone in front might notice animal tracks frozen in the mud where the animal(s) might have crossed. Some of the tracks will be small animals – but some sharp-eyed Hobbit might notice the larger tracks of wolves . . .

As the group start outs – all are on foot except Madoc, Estelle Tunnelly, and Hob who are on the wagon seat. Please feel free on the journey to get down from the wagon or get on it as you please.

And Daisy (Oro) – Madoc’s cousin Gorby is busy chatting you up . . . ;)

Let’s get some traveling posts on board. By tomorrow, let’s get us ½ way to Bywater and have the group stop for a quick lunch and rest . . . the group can discuss the tracks that someone or a number of Hobbits has found.

Hi Everyone

I planned on getting my post up yesterday but I am having problems with my asthma. If my asthma attacks continue I need to get the hospital. I will try and get my post up tonight but if I don’t then it will be tomorrow. So its all depending on whether I go to the hospital or not. But please keep posting!

I will be in hospital until Sunday or Monday. If I need to stay longer my mom will lend me her laptop. Please get your Green Dragon Inn posts going so we can move on. My post is up, like promised.

Niluial is ill and in the hospital. She will be back on Monday and has asked that the game players have their Green Dragon Inn posts done, so that we can head down the road toward Bree.

Synopsis of what is happening at present:

The group has made it to Bywater and are at the Green Dragon Inn. It is very late in the evening and the group has been listening to some tales by one of the old gaffers in the Inn. He has told them that not many travelers have come along the Great East Road (the road we will be using) of late. And the last one who did spoke of seeing tracks that criss-crossed the road – wolves, he thought.

Monday the group will be up early and heading down the road to Frogmorton – the next atop on the road. There is an Inn there called The Floating Log. I expect that somewhere along this section of the road there may be an unfortunate encounter. ;)

Please take a look at the game – and get a post up for your character.

Well I am back safe and sound but I can not post a reply because only a few people have posted their Dragon Inn post… we really need them in please… so we can move on! We only have four weeks left to complete the game, lets not waste it. So please can we have ALL posts in by Wednesday latest, thanks :D.

Ah... sorry it took so long, but I submitted my post a few hours earlier today. May not be able to post in the next couple of days, however, as I'm being contantly bothered by testing, but I should be able to post after that.

I appologise for my absense of late! There was a virus on the computer so i couldn't access it. I won't have time to get a post up tonight (sorry!) but i'll get one up asap (tomorrow hopefully)

Nilly, Pio, my apologies again! I was going to do a post tonight, but the site was down for backup, and I have to go to a piano lesson now. Sorry! *hides*

I really think we need to get the story moving along now. How much longer do we have left exactly?

Phervasaion is right - the end date for this game is 03/26 - 20 days from now.

Tomorrow, regardless of who has not posted, I am moving us ahead two days game time, to just before we get to Buckland. I'll set up an 'incident' to happen.

From there we can regroup and do another time and distance post to get us very near Bree. Just prior to it on the Great East Road that we're on is the Barrow Downs - we can have the final confrontation there.

The last week can see our very reduced numbers getting back to Tookland.

Sound doable?

Should we stop and camp once more or head straight to bree with out stops. No… I think it might be a bit too far.

I was also thinking food could be getting scarce… but bad that they end up feeling weak, unhealthy etc making the journey much harder…

Attack Alert!

There are 7 large, wild dogs just crossing the stream and heading for the Hobbit group. 2 others have just knocked Estelle down and killed her. They are in the process of dragging her off to eat later.

Of the 7 dogs – 4 of them are coming directly at the group, while 3 of them are circling around in the trees and will attack from the rear of the Hobbit group . . .

Have at it Hobbits, and see how many you can down . . . feel free to sustain injuries and to kill or wound any number of the dogs . . . they are starving and will want to bring down as many of you as they can for food . . .

Neither Elentari or dragoneyes has posted to the game in 2 weeks - their characters are also up for being killed off . . .

Oh, gosh...this is starting to sound quite dramatic! :(

Hmmm, I think I'm going to have to offer my character up to be killed. My most sincere apologies. Make it good death, I shall be reading :p I would kill Meri off myself, but I'm known for writing overly dramatic and unrealistic death scenes. I wouldn't want to spoil the Rpg's atmosphere.

3 dogs have been killed - 1 each by Hob, Daisy, and Ivy.

6 dogs remain:

1 is dragging off Estelle

1 has Meri down -

2 are lunging at Daisy, Gorby, and Cedric - Hob has been asked to lend aid there with his

2 have Tom and Melody cornered, and Madoc has just run over to lend a hand there.

Well my word is still not opening so I did a post... the spelling might be wrong because I didn't use a spell check. If I get my microsoft open I'll use that one. Well my post is up... I'll post on Froday again... off to movies tonight :).
