In response to Findorfin's query, the Downies will be awarded by presenters based upon general instructions from the Admins/Mods, etc. Only admins/mods can authorize awards. No "informal" awards can be given. This is so that no one is insulted or has hard feelings.

BTW, all or nearly all of the Downies will be tongue in cheek.

Was that too obvious? Anyway, are the catogories of the awards already out in the public or will they be kept secret untill the end of the party. And how long is that party going to last anyway? Not one day I hope, that will be far to short. I'd say a week till a month. Why spend so short time on such a happy even right?

The party will not take place at any specific time or age in Middle Earth. It will mix Middle Earth and modern technology. You may come in character, any character, or as yourself. "Dates" are definitely not rquired.

Well, I should hope not. The only way to go to a social event is stag. If you have a date, then you're not really free to flirt with, dance with, and make out with all the other beautiful women at the party, which is the second biggest reason for going (the food is first).

Mrs Lousewart Chastitybelt has in fact been invited. We have not yet seen the RSVP as yet however. Given the grand gold ink, she may just accept.

Dr Marileangorifurnimaluim will be in attendance, taking notes and *ahem* studying the social customs of Middle Earth. It is rare to find such an interspecies event, to observe hobbits, elves, dwarves and men (not mention various dragon, et cetera, et cetera) interacting, I am certain it shall prove a most illuminating evening.

I must admit, I do hope Mrs Chastitybelt does make an appearance. I'm writing a new paper, and her input would be most appreciated.

I will also probably be bringing my RPG character Pimpiowyn, a half-hobbit who is *cough* involved with an Elf (who happens to be currently employed by Mith for his dance ensemble, it would seem). That should give the good Doctor something to write about, eh? Unfortunately, Poppy may still be a little intimidated by Pimpi, as the latter is half-human, and due to an incident with magic beans, is 6 feet tall. But perhaps they'll find someting in common regardless...?

Lousewart, on the other hand, is a full-blooded hobbit and unassumingly short, but unfortunately has an austere nature not given to revelry or fraternization. Great fun shall be had by all on her account, I am sure.
