I have known strong warriors of the Big People who would quickly have been overcome by that splinter, which you bore for seventeen days.
It was Gandalf.

hobbitlass 12-27-2002 11:07 AM

Éomer to Éowyn at Dunharrow concerning Aragorns choice to follow The Paths Of The Dead.

eleanor_niphredil 01-26-2003 02:26 PM

your right Russandol. Well done.

Thank you Eleanor

Aragorn at the breaking of the fellowship, about Frodo?

Dondagnirion 02-02-2003 10:31 AM

I would say it was Legolas and not Aragorn, because before the Fellowship was broken Aragorn kind of knew that it was going to happen, e.t.c.

Dondagnirion
"He who cannot cast a treasure away at need is in fetters." - Aragorn

Russandol 02-02-2003 10:46 AM

Eleanor has it.

Quote:

'But we do not know whether the Ring-bearer is with them or not ' said Aragorn. 'Are we to abandon him? Must we not seek him first? An evil choice is now before us!'

Perhaps Galadriel when the hobbits were looking into the mirror?

eleanor_niphredil 02-04-2003 04:08 PM

Not Galadriel. Try again.

Dondagnirion 02-05-2003 10:45 AM

That would be Gandalf to those with him on the way to Isengard when they saw the ents.

Dondagnirion
"He who cannot cast a treasure away at need is in fetters." - Aragorn

eleanor_niphredil 02-05-2003 11:52 AM

Nope, sorry. Not Gandalf either.

Beren87 02-05-2003 07:55 PM

Aragorn to the Door Guard guy at King Theoden's hall about the horses that he says looks like theirs.

eleanor_niphredil 02-06-2003 11:18 AM

At last! You are correct!

Beren87 02-06-2003 05:06 PM

Great!

Legolas to Gimli about Gondor as the walk through the streets of Minas Tirith

Dondagnirion 02-07-2003 09:18 AM

I agree that it was Legolas to Gimli as they walked through the streets of Minas Tirith but wasnt the quote about Numenor in general? I am not so sure it was just about Gondor because in its rising it was still one and the same with the northern kingdom of the Dunadan?

Dondagnirion
"It is useless to meet revenge with revenge; it will heal nothing." - Frodo

Beren87 02-07-2003 02:46 PM

Well, it could also be said to be just about Minas Tirith the city. It's not really specified. But good point.

Your turn eleanor_niphredil!

eleanor_niphredil 02-08-2003 06:01 AM

gralin musicteeth 02-09-2003 06:34 PM
