Yup it is

Beren87 07-14-2003 03:11 PM

Hmm..question, question, we need a question.

In which RPG was I technically a part of, even if I never got around to posting?

Sophia the Thunder Mistress 07-14-2003 03:17 PM

Poor grammar, Beren. *Removes the "In" from the beginning of his sentence* Tsk.

Reclaiming the city, of course! A horribly run game, if I may say so myself.

Sophia

Beren87 07-14-2003 03:30 PM

That's what happens when I can't decide which question to ask, I end up combing the two. :/

Your turn, oh Mistress of the..Stormy Night.

Sophia the Thunder Mistress 07-16-2003 11:09 AM

Which of the HoME books that I actually own am I currently without, and why?

Sophia

Amanaduial the archer 07-16-2003 12:15 PM

I have a feeling it is Unfinished Tales because a friend borrowed it, but that may be completely inaccurate, as I think I'm mixing you up with someone else. *sigh*

Sophia the Thunder Mistress 07-19-2003 12:12 AM

Nope, must be someone else...

Iarwain 07-19-2003 09:31 PM

I'm afraid I don't know which book, so I'll guess that it is the Book of Lost Tales Part 2, but I do know that it is currently in storage, along with a few other books you posess.

Iarwain

Sophia the Thunder Mistress 07-19-2003 10:08 PM

It is in storage, yes, but it isn't BoLT 2. However, since it's BoLT 1, I'd say you are close enough.

Your go, Iarwain.

Sophia

Iarwain 07-20-2003 02:39 PM

At this year's Annual Birthday Party, I rescued someone who was about to be mugged, who was it?

Eressië Ailin 07-20-2003 02:58 PM

erm... I'm not really in the mood to reread the whole BD B-day party, so I'll just guess... Was it The Saucepan Man?

Iarwain 07-21-2003 07:51 PM

Indeed it was. Your go.

The Saucepan Man 07-21-2003 08:03 PM

Actually the Saucepan Man was about to deal out some heavy metal pan-ishment to the two miscreant Wargs with his impressive array of kitchenwear. But thanks anyway, Iarwain.

Iarwain 07-21-2003 08:08 PM

Ah, yes. I'm sure I wasn't needed at all. After all, our dearest pothead seemed prepared to deal with them on his own. It was good for the poor Master though, something about those spicy Balrog wings sent him quite crazy. Perhaps he needed some Riddlin to calm down.

Of course you were, my dear fellow. Ol' Saucepan's just nursing his hurt pride at having to be rescued. Mind you, he did manage to revenge himself on those fiendish beasts later at the Awards Ceremony.

our dearest pothead
I hope that's just a reference to my headgear.

Eressië Ailin 07-21-2003 11:46 PM

Erm... Alrighy then! Next question, should be rather easy.

I have voices living inside my head. Who are they?

I'm not looking for just names.

the phantom 07-22-2003 12:59 PM

Serina (the Muse) and Erik (The Phantom of the Opera).

I'm the real Phantom though!

(and btw, I love your location )
"What warm, unspoken secrets will we learn,
beyond the point of no return?"

Eressië Ailin 07-22-2003 02:35 PM

"Past the point of no return
the final threshold--
the bridge is crossed,
so stand and watch it burn...
We've passed the point of no return..."

That may be my favourite song in Phantom... Thanks! I love your sig!

Anywhoozles (heh. don't ask), go ahead!

the phantom 07-22-2003 10:51 PM

That may be my favorite song too. I don't know, there's too many good ones.

My signature is from "Music of the Night", another awesome Phantom song (of course, you probably knew that).

Who used lyrics from one of my songs in his/her signature?

Eressië Ailin 07-22-2003 11:13 PM

Was it maikafanawen? This was one of her old sigs:

Quote:

"We never said, our love was evergreen, or as unchanging as the sea -- but please promise me that sometimes, you will think ... of ... me!!"

"Anywhere you go let me go too ... Love me -- that's all I ask of you ...":
Christine Daae, The Phantom of the Opera
Of course, she was really quoting Christine, not you...

The Saucepan Man 07-23-2003 08:14 AM

It was our resident Thunder Mistress, Sophia, wasn't it?

the phantom 07-23-2003 03:02 PM

Yes, it was Sophia.

The Saucepan Man 07-23-2003 04:40 PM

Name one of the four songs performed by Diamond18 and The Saucepan Man, accompanied for part of the time by LinGalad, as a paper, comb and saucepan combo at this year's Barrow Downs Birthday Party.

Sophia the Thunder Mistress 07-23-2003 05:15 PM

The Monty Python theme, of course... and to think, if I'd just stuck around a bit longer I could have played with you instead of that embarrassing incident with the 'Mudwater and the dancing chicken.

Sophia

The Saucepan Man 07-23-2003 05:20 PM

Mattius' dancing chicken was certainly good value though.

You are, of course, correct Sophia. Although I must say that Pleasant Valley Sunday was my particular favourite.

Amanaduial the archer 07-28-2003 01:25 PM

*Bump*

Sophia's turn.

Sophia the Thunder Mistress 08-08-2003 07:05 AM

Oh heavens, its me.

I have used quotes from which Downs RPG in my "Daily Quotes" on the dorm message boards?

Estelyn Telcontar 08-08-2003 07:11 AM

Hmmm, could that RPG be the notorious "Revenge of the Entish Bow"? Not that I'm familiar with it, of course...

Sophia the Thunder Mistress 08-08-2003 07:16 AM

Six minutes, Esty, impressive! *Bows* The Notorious REB is the one .

The thread is yours.

Sophia

Estelyn Telcontar 08-08-2003 07:25 AM

How old are my LotR books?

aragornreborn 08-08-2003 09:35 AM

Let us hazard a guess (if these are the books you mean). Judging from this quote -

Quote:

My '73 Ballantine's edition contains four books, The Hobbit and the three LotR books, in a red box with Tolkien's own drawings of Elven symbols and a Númenorean tile on it.
I'd say 30 years old, perhaps?

Estelyn Telcontar 08-08-2003 10:20 AM

You're absolutely right, aragornreborn! I didn't think people read that geezer thread of mine! Go ahead - it's your turn!

aragornreborn 08-08-2003 10:27 AM

Thank you, Estelyn.

I'm always at a loss when it comes to thinking up a good question, so here goes nothing.

What was the topic of my very first thread?

It is something very near and dear to me. Hence it moved me to actually begin a thread. lol, I don't have many, so it shouldn't bee too difficult a question.

Beren87 08-09-2003 01:55 AM

I havn't been able to find it yet, mind telling if it was in Discussions (Books, N&N, Movies) or Fun and Games (Quiz, MEM, Quites) or RPG?

aragornreborn 08-09-2003 08:46 PM

I thought that might be a problem. Thinking back, it is a rather hard to find answer. Very well then, it was in the Movies forum. Sorry about that.

Elennar Starfire 08-09-2003 09:11 PM

It was "When Did Aragorn Give the Pendant Back?" was it not?

[ August 09, 2003: Message edited by: Elennar Starfire ]

aragornreborn 08-10-2003 02:15 PM

Correct, Elennar Starfire, your turn!

Elennar Starfire 08-10-2003 02:38 PM

What is the weird story of how I came up with the name Elennar?

Amanaduial the archer 08-12-2003 08:19 AM

Here you go, a direct quote of said story:

Quote:

Before I learned any elvish I was thinking about how elvish names mean something (Legolas=greenleaf, for example) and I decided I wanted my name to mean starfire. I write fantasy sometimes and have trouble coming up with names for my characters, so whwnever I come up with a good name I write it down so I don't forget. one of the names I had come up with (and my favorite at the time) was Elinar. Then I found out that elen means star and nar means fire, so I put them together to get Elennar=starfire.
And, by the way, its a lovely name- very like an RPG character in one of the games I played in - Elenna Starfire. At first, I thought you were that person, but incognito or something!

Am I right?

[ August 12, 2003: Message edited by: Amanaduial the archer ]

Elennar Starfire 08-12-2003 11:51 AM

Your answer to my question is correct, but I have never been in a RPG.
