Yes! Though most of Beleriand was laid waste in the War of Wrath, some large mountains like Himring remained as small islands. Ask!

The palantir of Minas Ithil was taken by Sauron when the Ringwraiths captured Minas Ithil, c. 2002. After Sauron's fall, I don't know what happened to it.
