Well, I have to look backwards to see 30. But I try to look forward 'most' of the time...it's much healthier!

Lidija Kasik 01-09-2003 04:57 AM

I'm 25, but I don't feel like that. I suppose I don't care how old I am. Ever since I was 18 it's like I lost the track of time. Even 2-3 years after that, when somebody asked me, I caught myself saying "I'm 18, oh, sorry 21, I forgot."

I'm sixteen, disappointingly enough . No one takes you seriously when you're sixteen..... Especially other teenagers who hate your guts because you are more mature than they are. Sigh....... I'm so alone *sniffle* But I get to hang out with my dad a lot, which is great; I prefer to talk with my dad about stuff than ask my friends, 'cause my dad knows more!

LadyElbereth 01-10-2003 02:07 PM

I think Brinniel is 17. And as for my age, ah well, I posted it somewhere at an older topic like this one.

zacattack 01-10-2003 06:11 PM

Man all you guys and gals are soo old,no wonder your so smart

I'm only 12

Sapphire_Flame 01-10-2003 06:41 PM

Hey, zacattack, ya know what? I know eighteen year olds who act like they're three. And thirteen year olds who seems like they're eighteen! Age is no way to gauge how smart someone is! So don't feel bad about being a youngun' here at the Downs. You might know something that one of us "old" people doesn't!!!!

I guess I'm part of the younger members. I just turned 14 yesterday. Yep my birthday is January 9. But hey age never stopped me. I like being here at the Downs and I've made many friends. Some of which are younger than me and others older. Either way they are all great people.

lord of dor-lomin 01-16-2003 09:37 AM

I act like I'm 16, look like I'm 24 (when I have my Boromir beard, like now), but my age is halfway between.

King_Elessar 01-16-2003 10:16 AM

Um, I think I am the youngest!! I am 10, but people say I am very grown up for my age.

Naurnedist 01-16-2003 10:21 AM

Brinniel 01-20-2003 12:38 AM

Out of 70 people on this particular thread, the average age is about 20. But I'm sure that would change if I looked at ages on other threads too.

Liriodendron 01-20-2003 12:46 AM

Well, time to raise the average age then! I'm 47.

Davin 01-20-2003 01:31 AM

My turn to lower the average! I'm only 18, oh yeh....

LegolasChicki 01-20-2003 06:15 PM

Calencoire 01-20-2003 07:50 PM

I'm 14, and started reading LOTR a little over a year ago, but it seems like I've known it forever!

Wow. You bothered to find the average? LoL.

Okay, I'll lower the average again. 13.5, too old for the kids menu, too young to drive.

I doubt she bothered to find the average, as it took a long time. Probably just a guess.

And if it was just a guess, it was a most excellent one. There are 75 people exactly who stated their age in some easy way. (I didn't go to the linked topics). For a total age of 1432.

And the average age is.....19.09333!

Oh, and btw, I'm certainly not telling my age. Age brings judgement.

Thengise Greenleaf of Mirkwood 01-20-2003 11:33 PM

*sniggers* Heh, I know how old you are Beren! Don't worry I won't tell...

Nah seriously I won't. I suppose age can bring judgement, but who are they to judge you after they already know you? (I don't mean personally)

Beren87 01-20-2003 11:41 PM

Aye, that is true. But its more of an unconcious perception than anything else.

And I just noticed something. Isn't the title "Ghost Prince of Cardolan" rather sexist? lol

alquadae 01-21-2003 03:01 PM

50

Aylwen Dreamsong 01-21-2003 03:20 PM

Hmm, I never thought of that, Beren. Were there Ghost Princesses of Cardolan?

I suppose they were just generalizing. In the Spanish language, if a group of people are all female, save for one male, the ending of the pronoun is still masculine, unless I am mistaken.

It was a very very good guess, wasnt it? 20 and 19.09!
